I am Vernessa Himmler, an illustrator, and sand-artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Since early 2013 I have worked as a freelance illustrator, and one of my recent illustration projects is a series of funny comics that show people the hilarious and crazy life of being a silly cat owner.
I’ve been drawing since my childhood and received a masters degree in illustration from HAW Hamburg - Design Department. Over the years I have developed my own visual language, which consists of realistic fine drawings and modern coloration. I started drawing my kitty cat comics only two years ago, inspired by my two cute cats Mikosch and Koschka, who I adopted from a local animal shelter a few years back.
I began creating these funny drawings on Instagram to share my life as a crazy cat lady and the awkward moments of my two funny cats, and while many of my comics depict the headaches cats can bring, they are still such wonderful pets. My favorite thing about cats is the moment when they want your attention (for a cuddle or something else), it makes you extremely happy when they chose to come to you on their own!

I have a cat, gets next to me, flops down on his back waiting for a belly rub. He gets one, and he lets me rub his feet. Have 4 other cats that if I tried this, I would be severely injured.
I have a cat, which can switch between theese two... but I never know, when she did that, so somtimes I have a snuggle cat and sometimes I have a bear trap
My smaller cat is like the second pic, my bigger cat is kind of 50/50 chance.
I have both--on the same cat. Depends on the mood--andwhoelseI might be petting.

"OMFG YES!" a.k.a. the "I LOVE YOU *FOREVER!!!*" spot. (Works on dogs too!)
I have both... plus the third type that only allows you to pet their head.

I have two cats. Siblings we guess (adopted from shelter, we are not 100 % sure..) however, one is the first .. the other the second example.
I would really like to meet a type 2 cat.. I think my dog kinda is one tho
One of the many sounds - the other one is the fridge door where the cream is kept.
Sometimes all three of my cats will all be staring at the same dark corner. It creeps me out.
"Koshka" .. its sounds like "Kočka" in czech language, what's mean Katze / Cat .)
I snip off the very tips of my cats claws. We have a scratching post also but she has a tendency to try hitting the dog in the eye and I REALLY don't want a blind puppy. But again I just snip off the super sharp tips of them NEVER like cut them short.

Or the other person gets all mad because you are comparing an "animal" to a human...well that animal is my child and gets treated as such and honestly I feel like all pet owners should treat their pets as a family member. The o lot exception there is a working animal BUT even those get treated incredibly well.
We get fur round the door of the washing machine from the clothes and have to remove it

I can relate to a lot of these. Right now I have two cats, littermate sisters - possibly half-sisters. They were real buddies until recently, then they started fighting. At least I am in a two-story townhouse so one stays upstairs and one downstairs.
I can relate to a lot of that I have a 7year one cat called angle she's a little devil
So cute and accurate. I actually laughed out loud at some, which is something I rarely do.
That's so sad, you must miss them terribly. Are there any pets you aren't allergic to?
