I am Vernessa Himmler, an illustrator, and sand-artist based in Hamburg, Germany. Since early 2013 I have worked as a freelance illustrator, and one of my recent illustration projects is a series of funny comics that show people the hilarious and crazy life of being a silly cat owner.
I’ve been drawing since my childhood and received a masters degree in illustration from HAW Hamburg - Design Department. Over the years I have developed my own visual language, which consists of realistic fine drawings and modern coloration. I started drawing my kitty cat comics only two years ago, inspired by my two cute cats Mikosch and Koschka, who I adopted from a local animal shelter a few years back.
I began creating these funny drawings on Instagram to share my life as a crazy cat lady and the awkward moments of my two funny cats, and while many of my comics depict the headaches cats can bring, they are still such wonderful pets. My favorite thing about cats is the moment when they want your attention (for a cuddle or something else), it makes you extremely happy when they chose to come to you on their own!

Sometimes all three of my cats will all be staring at the same dark corner. It creeps me out.
They aren't actually looking at the corner... They are looking at the thing in the darkness. :P

A mouse inside the wall. Well, in my case, it was an industrious chipmunk who came in from the cold.
I swear my parents room had ghosts, My previous cat stared into the darkness, didn't even move when I waved my hand in front of her face, and only noticed me once I pushed the door shut.
Hey, fun fact! Koschka is actually russian word "кошка" written in latin script. And Koschka = cat! So this cat's name is Cat ^^
This is so true! My cat used to react to absolute nothing, mewing, jumping and i assumed she is just schizophrenic. :D
Oh god, this is so true, mine sometimes would hiss and run and hide, totally leaving me freaked out! Lol
a lot of animals see spirits and souls... once my girlfriend's dog was looking in the corner for a while and when he barked towards the corner, the next second a plate falled down in the kitchen, just as if the "spirit" got scared and ran there... you should have seen the dog's face, and ours of course :))
If i saw one of my cats did this, I would be scared- This household shouldn't have any paranormal anomalies/entities..
"Koshka" .. its sounds like "Kočka" in czech language, what's mean Katze / Cat .)
I snip off the very tips of my cats claws. We have a scratching post also but she has a tendency to try hitting the dog in the eye and I REALLY don't want a blind puppy. But again I just snip off the super sharp tips of them NEVER like cut them short.

Or the other person gets all mad because you are comparing an "animal" to a human...well that animal is my child and gets treated as such and honestly I feel like all pet owners should treat their pets as a family member. The o lot exception there is a working animal BUT even those get treated incredibly well.
We get fur round the door of the washing machine from the clothes and have to remove it

Now these are some really new and extremely funny ideas! But they do all look very familiar...
Ahh yes. To do or not to do, that is the question. Tis nobler to read cut comics or to do boring English homework. To do or not to do, that is the question
I can relate to a lot of these. Right now I have two cats, littermate sisters - possibly half-sisters. They were real buddies until recently, then they started fighting. At least I am in a two-story townhouse so one stays upstairs and one downstairs.
I can relate to a lot of that I have a 7year one cat called angle she's a little devil
So cute and accurate. I actually laughed out loud at some, which is something I rarely do.
That's so sad, you must miss them terribly. Are there any pets you aren't allergic to?
