Memes and cats are the real fuel of the internet. Think of what a bland place it’d be if we didn’t get a daily fix of hilarious feline pics gift-wrapped in mysterious cat logic. Think of how many memes wouldn’t have even been born without these pictures. Grumpy Cat, Cat Jam, Smudge the Cat, Coughing Cat… anyone?!
So when combining these two of people’s favorite things, you get the most powerful cattitude memes that explain all that words cannot explain. Like all those weird, goofy, and plain ‘seriously?!’ feline behaviors.
Why do cats eat like they've got 2 secs to finish the bowl, only to puke in the middle of the carpet a minute later? And how do they decide that wreaking havoc on the house at 3 am is an excellent idea? Those cucumbers, what’s up with them?
We may never find the answers, but with the help of cat-approved meme language, we at least can get a glimpse into the weird and wonderful world of felines. It’s where everything you think you know is wrong, and everything you know to be wrong is also wrong. Power cat memes compiled by Bored Panda, the stage is yours.

It’s no secret that cats sometimes, or rather most often, do things that make no sense to humans. To help to decipher the internet-famous and genuinely odd feline behavior, Bored Panda reached out to Molly DeVoss, a certified feline training and behavior specialist who runs Cat Behavior Solutions agency.
Molly said that each cat’s motivation to act weird is a very individual thing. “Some cats do silly things to get our attention; we run and get our cameras, cooing and paying attention to them.” This attention that we shower our felines with is precisely what reinforces their seemingly odd behavior.
Meanwhile, “other cats are bored and are trying to find outlets for pent-up energy,” Molly said. Being both prey and predator animals, most cats’ instincts are still pretty powerful. As your house is their new jungle, you see the behavior that makes them jumpy, goofy, silly, yet absolutely adorable.
In fact, this precise feature that we don’t really know what to expect from them is what makes our felines perfect material for the internet. “Whatever the motivation for the strange behaviors, it’s always good to pay attention to your cat and tell it how much you appreciate the laugh,” Molly concluded.
Yeah, that would be me. My husband too, though he’ll never admit it. It’s why we now have four cats and a dog—-all rescues, out of a barn, off the street, dumped in our yard or the neighbor’s (when she was out of town for an extended period and my husband was doing a regular check on her house for her). Yeah. Big softies.

I do that all the time, not because of spiders but because she meows non stop as she wants to sniff the ceiling for some reason
They need to smell everything to complete their smell memory storage compartment.

Always! I tell my cat “get the bug” and soon as she spots it, it is as good as dead.
I’ve seriously done this, they ignore it ... not surprising, still hurt I, the giver of food, wasn’t protected.
I would have belted the thing with the banana on the left. (No. not the cat)
I know they see into the 4th dimension - it's the only explanation for the staring at nothing on/in the walls for hours
when the cat is sitting on the bed staring at the ceiling and moving her head slightly and your're afraid to look up
Get a stepladder. Not that it isn’t perfectly fine to lift the cat up to the spider, but at that angle, if the cat drops or bats at the spider and it falls, it very likely will fall on your face. And that is a big NOPE. I’d much rather have Spidey hanging out on the wall than landing on my face (happened to me as a child, and is the reason I keep distance between myself and spiders to this day).
Oh, you JUST had one fall on you? I had 3 older brothers (yes I am a girl) and they threw, placed or smooched, every type of spider, insect or flying animal they could get.

my cat eats any bug he finds in our house; he devoured a moth that was terrorizing me once🤣
My cat just stares at the wall because she knows she's too fat to jump it, and to heavy for my to pick her up
Until the spider outruns the cats paw, you drop the cat & run & kitty comes running after you in fear of the lost spider 🤣
Boo just looks at the ceiling, but Viola will parkour herself up the wall to get any critter she sees. Thank goodness! My savior!
The really impressive part is that he did it with a hammer and chisel.
