According to animator Art Babbitt, "Animation follows the laws of physics—unless it is funnier otherwise." The idea that cartoons behave differently compared to the real world (but not randomly) is almost as old as animation itself. For example, Walt Disney already talked about this "the plausible impossible" cartoon logic in 1956. And when you think about it, the popular cartoons would lose half of their charm if their characters started acting just the same as us. Our sometimes dull reality is what we're trying to escape watching the funny cartoons, after all.
Bored Panda has collected some of the most ridiculous examples of cartoon plot holes to highlight how the world of cartoon characters differs from the real one, and it couldn't be any funnier. From the fingerless Powerpuff Girl Blossom eating with chopsticks to Tom and Jerry hanging out naked all day but wearing clothes at the beach - these characters clearly aren't governed by the laws of science or the norms of any rational plot twists. Apart from being black, Dr hibert and his wife don't really look like brother and sister - eyes, nose and chin are all different. Same ears, but all Simpson's characters have those ears. Same hair, but that's not unrealistic. So I think whoever made this is simply racist.
To be fair, the Hibberts don't look like they're related. Different sized facial features, different noses, different eye size AND shape, eyebrows, forehead sizes and wrinkles, neck sizes and even different curl to their hair. But yeah, "They look the same" right? #racistmuch?
How exactly is that racist? Also, they do have similar features such as hair color, hair style, ear shape, eye color, and their protruding lips. And c’mon-they do look more like brother and sister than other couples. They don’t look as related as the other two couples, but they just wanted to add a third example to the meme. They’re black, but the meme isn’t automatically racist.

I think most of the time, this has more to do with making both parents look similar to their child, since the parents are usually created after their children.
I think the Dr. Hibert one is off. They don't necessarily look like each other, except for skin colour.
People do tend to marry people with some characteristics like their relatives.
