Canadians often find themselves bombarded by praise on the Internet, especially when compared to their neighbors down south. It turns out, however, that Canada is just as fun to make some of the best jokes about as literally every other country on Earth.
Maybe it's the unique ways the Canadian people survive and thrive during apocalyptic weather conditions. Maybe it's their fiendish dependence on maple syrup. Perhaps it's the fact that they're just too damn nice for their own good. Whatever it is, Canadian culture and its people sometimes become the easiest targets online. Though we don't think they'll ever get roasted as bad as Americans, we've compiled some awesome Canada jokes that'll give you a nice friendly chuckle at the Great White North's expense.

My geography teacher once said that Australia is trying to be like Canada whilst ending up more and more like America...
I really wish we could stop making fun of this. Yes, it's ridiculous to see it on every cup forevermore. But there was a serious lawsuit with legitimate claims behind it. That coffee that McDonald's served her was so hot it actually melted the cup it was in. She was parked when she was opening the lid to add her cream/sugar. She only asked for her medical bills, (20k) and they only offered her $800. They had had multiple warnings and settlements about the temperature they were serving the coffee at. And the punitive damages awarded were two days worth of their coffee sales. And was reduced by the judge.
Shouldn't the milky way be Bagged Milky way? Referencing to the bagged milk post..
i would love if america would just stay home and shut up and canada made friends with the world and then could bring america along later like *yeah this is my little brother, hes cool guys just dont talk to him if he gets fussy*
We used to have that in my country but I haven't seen any in the past few years. I guess I'll always have it strongly associated with my grandmother who always had it in her fridge. :)
I had the same thought. Are you from Germany as well?
Load More Replies..."WHAT THE F**K IS BAGGED WATER" "WHY ARE YOU BAGGING DRINKS?" BWAHahahahahah!!! This is one of the funniest threads I've read on here in a long time!!!
Not all Canadians buy bagged milk (as it does come in normal cartons and jugs). If you buy bagged milk, the bag gets placed in a plastic pitcher (which fits perfectly the bag) and the tip of the bag is cut so it can be poured. Sounds crazy I know but it’s pretty damn simple
Actually further to Melanie's comment, the little bags are a rectangle shape sealed all around. When you need more milk, you open the big bag, pull a smaller bag out, put one end of the rectangle in a plastic pitcher (that you buy special for your bags of milk), then you snip off the corner of the bag of milk. Now you're ready to pour the milk. bag-of-mil...c78fd7.jpg
Load More Replies...Edmonton, Alberta here... I haven't seen bagged milk since the early 80's - not sure if this is an Eastern Canada thing or what.
I've never seen it in BC either. It really must just be east coast.
Load More Replies...We have containers made to hold the bag of milk in place. Easy peasy.
but... why not just put the milk in containers that hold the milk in place?
Load More Replies...we have bagged milk in South Africa as well. you place it in a jar and cut open the corners to pour milk
As a Brit bagged milk seems better for the environment but apart from that it sounds f****n silly, haha a bag of milk.
I am so glad I live in Australia. The rest of you guys are messed up.
lol inovation and business...someone said it was cheaper to bag milk and if we do then everyone has to buy a milk jug to properly poor it...Hence why Ontario is still LESSER CANADA
It's available everywhere. The only reason Americans aren't aware is because of the extent of consumerism
We use to always have bagged milk when I was a kid, I haven't seen it in Manitoba for years now, then again I haven't looked very hard for it.
Load More Replies...Guys relax it's just dehydrated milk add water and boom you has cow juice
A milk jug ($1) holds the bag of milk jug-5aeb4f...fe0065.jpg
Because there are bagged milk holders (essentially a pitcher that fits the bag). You can still get them on Amazon
I haven't seen bagged milk at the stores up here in Saskatchewan, but I saw them all the time in and around Wisconsin. (common to the Kwik Trip convenience stores)
Hey we have bagged milk in Argentina. We call this packaging "sachet" :-) Canada seems to me such a great place to live.
I am Canadian and have only seen it in two provinces. It allow you to buy milk when it is on sale and freeze it. Won't say the thawed version is pretty though..lol
the bag you see contains more bags the size of a milk jug. You put it in a milk jug and cut off one corner... et voila!
When we buy bagged milk we put the bag in a pitcher to hold it up.
Tried it in UK with a special jug to hold the bag, they leaked. Didn't take off
Nobody knows why they put milk in bags! Come to Alberta! Milk is in cartons and jugs. Bagged milk is stupid!
In my country we have bagged cooking oils so this isn't a new thing to me 😂 though I'm suprised now many countries do this
We have bagged milk in Argentina too...only we use a french name for it to be fancier....it´s called "sachet"
We have bagged milk in Brazil too, but nowadays it's harder to find. Only a few supermarkets carry it because it goes bad a lot quicker than the boxed/carton version. But it's delicious
In Portugal, we used to had those too. I remember, as a child, going to the grocery store and buy milk in bags. After, appeared the cartoon package (Tetra Pak) and the bags disappeared.
I'm assuming that if the fluid is bagged it's because it's suppose to re-fill a jug/carton..
My issue with this is that it leaves the milk exposed to air in the fridge. It seems like it would go sour pretty quickly from all of the bacteria growth.
I assume that bagging milk / water, is cheaper than putting it in a carton.
Do you pour the bag-O- Milk into pitcher?? Is the bag recyclable after? Sorry for the questioning.
Take a look at the pic above in the comments. The bag itself goes inside a pitcher and then you cut a tiny hole in the upper corner. At least you used to. I haven't seen bagged milk since my early childhood. I'd forgotten all about it. I'm sure the bags are recyclable. Last time I used one was before plastic recycling.
Load More Replies...People may laugh but I still get milk in glass jugs. Straight from the farm. I hate pasteurized milk.
We used to have that in our country too. We had a special bagholder for it to keep it stable. 5a043bcec2...arto-j.jpg
also in Italy wr had milk like that, we used to call it soft milk. but we don't have moose.
there is a special jug you get to put it in then clip the side of the plastic bag and voila
You have to cut a small opening at the back too - or sometimes the bag goes all collapsy when pouring and the milk your glass
We have bagged milk in India. It's fresh milk that arrives like daily newspaper. In fact I haven't seen the old glass bottles in several years. We buy tetra packs once in awhile.
Canadian here. Bagged milk used to be popular pre-90's (that's all my mom bought when I was a kid). You can still find it almost everywhere, but most people buy cartons unless they have like 5 kids drinking 3 glasses a day each.
I've never seen bagged water! Bagged milk is good for a family or someone who goes through a lot of milk though because you can buy it in packs of three, so it doesn't run out as fast as if you buy a large carton.
Bagged milk is not just a Canadian thing. We had it as a kid growing up in the Seattle area. So yeah.. we were next to Canada. Does that count?
What the hell Seattle? You secrete Canadian!!! Bagged drinks are so not American. That's it! Washington is out of the Union!
Load More Replies...I thought that was pretty normal until the missionaries looked at it and was confused they thought it was so gross that we left our bags of milk open in the fridge all the time
it tastes gross after a while in the fridge when you use the open bags of milk
Well - It prompted me a Google search - Here are the results: French is the mother tongue of about 7.2 million Canadians (20.6% of the Canadian population, second to English at 56%) according to Census Canada 2016. Most native speakers of the French language in Canada live in Quebec, where French is the majority official language.
Thank god they don't do this in the US, no one wants to see Trump topless... not even Melania!
So funny!! I did that inside my daughters school books! She even has a mirror in her locker that translates " you are beautiful, you are strong, you can do it!"
The canadian stereotype here is not the moose walking into the store. The stereotype is, instead being shot to death, the moose got a free snack.
American's are gaving a fit over the Starbuck's holiday cups MAYBE hinting to same sex hand holding so.....
To all the "Hobbits are from NZ" posts, I would just like to say "Ron Swanson is not Canadian!"
I actually googled to check if it was a legit news and it freakin' was...
Do you go first or you go first thing is actually true it irritates me what a car approaches a four-way stop first and The Pedestrian waves them on don't just have your car sit there and say no you can go ahead I will turn around and start playing with my cell phone my God that's so annoying
That's actually kind of amazing! They adapted to the cold over time! ':D
Wish it was only a kind Canadian joke, but this is the sad truth. Thousands are killed in action, over a million people lost their homes because russians have no respect to other countrie's borders and sovereignity. Anyway, thanks Canada for trying, you are really good and true friend of my country.
NZ as well. We’re a fairly friendly country. Our country is basically do whatever you want and still get a hug from strangers
Why do people fail to grasp the concept that Canada's ultimate Head of State is the British Queen? Thus they have a Prime Minister and no president.
Canadians talk like Americans with British English and French thrown in for good measure. It keeps the rest of us confused. (I was married to an American-Canadian for 40 years) His family is quite uniquely interesting.
Americans may not bag milk because they don't know how to use it.

Caitlyn and Melody lol you realize that the economy is still Obama's right? Also, Trump probably figured he had to give something back to veterans being he dodged the draft how many times. How many women are we up to now who have accused him of rape and assault? How much is he spending on the military? How much is he spending on his stupid f*****g wall that is literally pointless? How many countries consider us a joke? How many world leaders has he offended or pissed off in his FIRST year? How many people still side with him?
Load More Replies...Lol I love my country :) I love coming from a place that everyone thinks is nice haha. Also our stereotypes our hilarious XD
Lol I don't watch it, but fun fact, my dad went to school with a couple of them!! #NovaScotia
Load More Replies...Please, Canada - if we promise to be polite, can't we come there? Not all Americans are like tRump!
as Katherine Ryan said "Trump has made refugees of his own people by hating refugees!"
Load More Replies...I'm feeling the desire to move to Canada. Seeing as Britain is about to collapse anyway, it could be a good option.
Can any Canadians recommend any good TV programmes (series)? Nothing trashy (if you even do that) but actual quality stuff. Thanks.

I hope that if Climate Change does make the UK like Scandi and Canada we end up more Canadian like..
I guess Canada would be the Only Country to benefit from a Fence between them and say their neighbour America. When people who don’t know better believe Canadians are just Americans, a Very high Fence Security guarded Fence along the Border would help to point out the obvious. “NO - WE have a Fence between us - see.”
I want to move from Australia to a colder climate, I was thinking Norway but now it's a toss up between Norway and Canada.
I think it is incomprehensible only for US citizins. If it can be called a strange behaviour at all. :) Remaining part of the world treats such behaviour as a normal thing. Most of the European countries for sure...
And holy s**t lady.... Is the US not built on blood and slavery? Are you really this f*****g stupid?
