My neighbors (identical twins) rang my doorbell, holding a white cat. They said "we were going surfing and saw your cat on the next block. It was really REALLY hard to catch him. " I opened the door a little wider to show them my white cat. One twin looked at the other and said "OMG Phil, we just stole a cat!" They went back to where they got it and let it go.

Happened to me once with our black cat. Black cat came in with the dogs, didn't even look at it. Went back a few minutes later and another black cat on the porch. First one was a neighbor cat scamming a free dinner. Our cat was not pleased.
I wonder if the owner of the found one is going crazy looking for him.

Omg I've had this situation happen. Except it was my fault. I came home and "my dog" was in the front yard. I bring "her" in and ask my husband why he let her run away. He points to OUR dog in the backyard and said she never left. I'm standing there dumbfounded wondering who I'm holding. Well, turns out she was a HE and we kept HIM his name is BANJO. He's been with us for 4yrs.

We reached out to the subreddit's moderators and they were kind enough to have a friendly chat with us. "Unfortunately, Reddit does not provide demographic tools, but we estimate that our subscribers are 60% Brazilian and 40% foreign," a representative of r/ItHadToBeBrazil told Bored Panda.
"The great majority of the content that appears on the subreddit follows our community goals, which is showing foreign people some aspects of our lives and culture that are not usually seen in the media."
"As those who post on our sub could tell you, some of the recurring themes here are Brazilians' ingenuity in solving problems with little resources (gambiarra), the glass-half-full attitude, and thinking that anything can be a reason for a celebration."
