A daily shower may not be necessary for everyone, but most teenagers and people in their 20s absolutely DO need one quite often, through no fault of their own; hormones, sweat and bacteria make a fun combination at that age.
As a teenager going through puberty, can confirm. I feel so self conscious and apologetic when I don't shower for one day because I have started to sweat THAT easily.

A western concept? Where do these mind freaks go to school? Is it something like, I heard this theory, read this (actually, read more) fiction, and now my whole concept for hygiene is based on half truths. Bathing less may or may not be valid for some reason at least do the research.
I ran into a thread on this one time.I thought it was totally nuts . Hear me out though.When I stopped washing my hair every day,per my hairdressers advice, after my hair adjusted it stopped getting greasy by the end of every day. I'm still showering...but maybe there is something to it ?
Same. I'm not saying one shower every two weeks is okay, but you don't need daily showers and certainly not daily hairwashing. Also - WASHING is still possible without taking a full shower. I usually shower twice a week more or less (with hair washing) or when I've sweat a lot during the day or feel super-grimey.

Just so everyone knows this was a bait account (they got banned thankfully). They stole peoples videos and put awful text over it. So this isn't the person in videos opinion, it's still pretty cringe but not in the way most people are thinking.

Having been to several European capitals and their underground systems, I can attest that hygien is not a universal Western concept.
I shower and shave every other day. I work at home and I no longer care to shower everyday. I have to shave in the shower because otherwise I look like I lost a fight with my cat. I can't shower and not shave anymore, it's just a thing I got used to. However, I do use a bidet and use extra strength antiperspirant. Two weeks without a shower? No way.
After four weeks in a military camp, we too thought we didn't smell so bad. Turns out we just got used to our own stink.
This person has most likely influenced some of the people I've sat next to on public transport.

They tried to keep the women away from the men because the women liked the native men because they were so clean. And in reading anthropology, most hunter-gatherers every encountered wash up every day, except in the winter in really cold climates. (But some people take it too far, showering 2-3 times a day.)

Ahhh, if only they'd listened more in bio/physio: generally, you're sensory systems filter out your own output. You only notice your smell when it's especially bad, you only feel your heartbeat when it's especially violent.
