Remember Ben Hed, the cartoonist who showed us funny comics about what would happen if humans flirted like animals? He’s created another fantastic cute drawings series we believe you have to see. It’s about the most unlikely animal friendship between a tiny kitty cat and a large German shepherd dog getting to know each other, and it’ll melt your soul.
“Pixie is a tiny, joyful, energetic kitten,” Ben told Bored Panda. “She’s innocent, and also somewhat oblivious to the serious, dangerous stuff around her.”
On the other hand, Brutus is a large, scar-faced German Shepherd. “He was adopted by Pixie’s owner after retiring as a Military Working Dog (MWD). Brutus, in many ways, is the exact opposite of Pixie. He’s… Seen things. He’s a very serious and intimidating military dog, but he has a soft spot for Pixie, and does what he can to protect her from the harsh realities of the world around them.”
“Honestly, Pixie and Brutus were just another random comic idea I had while at work. I was never planning on making them a series; I just thought it would be a funny idea to introduce a cute little kitten to a big intimidating war dog. So I made the first Pixie and Brutus cute animal comic, and people liked it so much I just kept making them.”

I just found these comics last week (although the one with the teddy bear is new to me) and fell in love instantly. I was a little bit worried at first that Brutus may not feel the same way Pixie did about him--but instantly smiled when I saw that he loved her just as much as she loved him. These are great. Keep them coming.

Oh yi, yi ~ was so not ready for this end right there. especially after just returning home from a family funeral. family - being kind, patient, having a sense of restraint, as well as a good sense of humor, the stronger protecting & looking after the weaker & innocents. This comic melts my heart and I'm like "Oh these comics are so cute~" And stuff. I mean it's the cutest, most adorable heart-melting funniest comics I've ever seen and like the most. (Hope my comment wasn't that long.)

These are really quite amusing. They acrually remind me of my two dogs, my Westie, who's the elder statesman, and ny Jack Russell, who's a little spaz. She wants to be buds with everybody, much to the chagrin of the Westie!
The best part of this was the "expectation subvertion", because when I saw the first image, I was expecting Brutus to be a "brutal" military instructor, mean, constantly shouting at Pixie... and he is actually a clever, intelligent, astute and thoroughly adorable brute. And the way he treats the raccoon! Priceless!
Brutus is like an overprotective brother... so cute! :D I could take.. a few thousand more of these. Willingly.

For some strange reason I imagined the voice of Pixie as Tara Strong's Bubbles. This should be tunred into an animated series, it would be soooo much better than the garbage on Cartoon Network right now. Amazing.
I'd love to see more of these two. Even it being turned into an animation fact where I can easily picture the late actor R. Lee Ermey's voice being the dog and a wee kid's voice being the smaller dog and watching their antics as they start to bond.

Have you watched the Deadpool 2 movie yet? Because Brutus totally looks like Josh Brolin as Cable in that movie.
