Now, although the best country in the World has never been one to brag about their universal health care, stable economy, and near-spotless diplomatic relations, there comes a time every so often that the boot comes down - and we don't mean 'out and a-boot.' for what its worth, the reason that lawsuit happened is because McD's was found negligent for superheating coffee in order to hold it longer. They handed someone a cup of near boiling coffee and she was burned badly in her *lap* area. It wasn't simply a case of duh coffee is hot. The story has been co opted by corporate interests to try to steer the blame from negligent practice to make it seem like it was frivolous; it wasn't.

I think it's cool. We had them in elementary school when I was a little girl. The only problem with those was when you shoved a straw through both sides and sprung a leak.

In the mid '70's I worked in a restaurant near Buffalo, NY and the milk came in a plastic bag in a cardboard box to be put in a dispenser.

When I was a kid in California, the milkman delivered boxes of milk (yes, we had a milkman for the first and only time I can remember), so guess what? It was a bag in a box, with the little push button spout, just like wine in a box is (in a bag). America had bagged milk at one time, and we still have bagged wine, which I find far more atrocious. Actually, I live in Canada and I didn't come across bagged milk until I visited my mom in Toronto when I was 14. Honestly I was so shook, I just couldn't accept it no matter how hard i tried. So I understand the struggle, I'll give you this one Americans. ALTHOUGH THE GUNS IN WALMART IS NOT COOL.
Bagged milk is brilliantly eco-friendly - since nobody uses glass bottles anymore, the bags are the best you can do to cut down on plastic waste.
I don't get it either. Like, it's different, sure, but it's milk in a thin plastic container. There's only so much to even think about with that concept.

American money being all the same colour DOES screw me up. It's not that I CAN'T read them, it's that it's way easier to pay for something quickly when you DON'T HAVE TO. I am Belgian, and have often felt the French to be loud and arrogant, and thinking they have invented all the best things in the world - while we Belgians go along quietly and excel in achieving great things without drawing attention to ourselves.
