More and more TikTok creators are using their platforms to share some interesting bites of knowledge, whether it's facts that sound too crazy to be true, or psychological facts you didn’t know, or interesting cat facts for feline lovers, or facts that show just how rare our bodies are… the list is endless!
For any skeptic out there, we can just point out the fact that learning things on social media is basically using it to your advantage. Especially when keeping in mind it’s also a place for not so pretty things like competition, toxicity, and body dysmorphia.
Tuning in for the facts craze on TikTok, social media content creator and upcoming music artist Kiyahshi has been sharing some very interesting “fun facts you may not have wanted to know” and they've proven to be a huge success, amassing hundreds and thousands (and some, millions!) of views. It seems like Kiyahshi’s audience is growing rapidly with 1.2M followers, so you'd better keep an eye on her and scroll through some fun bits of knowledge right below!

To find out more about the author of these viral TikTok video series, we reached out to Kiyahshi, who said she started making them totally random. “When TikTok first came out, I was a little skeptical about it but decided to give it a try and I’m glad I did! I have amazing followers and love to entertain them.”
It turns out, Kiyahshi is also an up-and-coming music artist and she started making beats and Acapella skits on the 2009 Apple Mac on a garage band. “Now, I make beats and record them on my phone. I taught myself how to play guitar on YouTube and it’s been my baby since,” she told us.

“The fun facts I talk about come from many different sources from "wtffacts," "k4knowledge," "knifefeedfacts" and many more. I love reading them and checking the accuracy behind them to see whether it’s true or not. Learning them, in general, is amazing,” Kiyahshi said about her viral video series.
"These conjoined twin sisters actually share a brain, but not only that, they can hear each other's thoughts and they can see out of each other's eyes."
The Hogan twins - they are actually 15 years old now, and yes, it's true they share thoughts, but while Tatiana can see out of both of Krista’s eyes, Krista can only see out of one of Tatiana’s. Also one controls 3 legs and an arm, the other 3 arms and a leg. Totally mind-blowing 😲

The TikTok creator also believes the fun facts make it a perfect conversation starter throughout the day. “‘Did you know' could become a 1h conversation to some people. Knowing information that people wouldn’t know is such a cool thing to talk about. It lets people discover, debate, wonder, or even surprise,” Kiyahshi said.
When asked about the most interesting fact she came across, Kiyahshi said it’s “that an artist named Michael Richards who focused most of his art on planes and even made a sculpture of himself being pierced with planes, died in his art studio on 9/11 in one of the twin towers.”

Good enough reason for me. I don't see much point in making the bed, it's not like anyone sees it.
B/c it feels nice to get into a made bed. And it makes the whole room look put together and neater. People don't make beds for others, we make them for ourselves. Unmade beds look like despair and laziness.

If you wash your sheets every week, this isn't a problem. I let it air awhile and then make it. I cannot abide unmade beds. It just looks like you've given up. I like to get into a made bed at night and I like the room to look put together so it's inviting when we get home.
Unmade beds are horrible! You don’t even have to make it WELL, but not making it looks bummy. Twice weekly fresh sheets feel so much better anyway and you don’t have to sort you a crumpled lump of blankets and sheet.

Making the bed = letting it air out for an hour or two in the morning, then shaking everything and putting it back nicely for the next night. Somehow I don't think that's worse than just letting it steam all day in the knot I crawl out of in the morning...
Yep. I fold back the bedding, open a window and after about an hour close window, make bed, let cats sleep on bed.

I am sure there are serious "scientific" studies about this. I am curious, where is coming from the moisture to which the mites are exposed when you leave your bed tidy? I am not covering my bed, but I always tidy it up in the morning, it looks more inviting in the evening than a messy bed.
more for people who sleep hot and sweaty. We're in FL and it can get pretty hot sometimes even with AC. I just throw back the sheets when we get up and leave it that way for an hour or so and then make the bed. If I don't feel like we slept hot, I just make it right away.

Making your bed just seems like one of the most pointless tasks ever! It's going to get messy again that same night anyway and most of the time it's not like anyone is going to see it.
I always have my bed made in the morning, but i fold it in two in the length and i open the windows to refresh.
Making the bed in our family has always been to pull the covers neatly back. Everyone in my family does it for as far back as I can remember. Perhaps this is why?
Leaving it scrunched up isn't the way. When you get up, shake you duvet and peel it back at least halfway so that the sheet and the inner side of the duvet can get air and light. Then later in the day (when I get home from work usually), flip the duvet closed. Voila! Ready to sit on and thoroughly aired.
I'll keep making my bed. Don't think I'll notice a few more dust mites on top of the millions already there anyway.
i dont make the bed, but husband makes his side 😂😂 i told him about this statement and explained to him that making the 🛏 is for appearance sakes, the way i see it there shouldn’t be anyone in our 🛏 room other than us, our kids and grandbabies ((and that’s not often))
This claim is based on a study that found bed mites thrive in warm, moist environments but die in dry surroundings. The conclusion made here is quite a leap, and assumes that a bed that's been made is significantly more humid than one that's not. My understanding is that most experts agree that the difference is insignificant. The humidity in your house--or more specifically, in your bedroom--is more relevant than whether you make your bed.

I think this is bollocks. There is always some blanket covering the bed even if it is not made, so there will be moisture between those areas. I can see that if you make the bed by covering the whole thing it makes it worse, but making it open probably airs it just as much as not making it.
developed a habit to leave my bed undone for at least an hour and open the window for fresh air. By the time i get dressed for work, i can make the bed. I like passing bye my room and see cute bedding
I knew it was good not to make my bed right away, to let it dry a little bit after sleep, but I never thought of the mites. Yuck!

Leave it unmade while you shower, brush teeth, eat breakfast. An hour of "airing out" is good to kill those mites! Get dressed, make your bed.

Heat from the dryer will kill the mites - 130F for 10 minutes or if hung in the sun, the same drying effect will take place as not making the bed and the mites will die. Mix some baking soda with some essential oils and sprinkle on your mattress. Allow it to sit for 15 minutes then vacuum the mattress. This kills dust mites and helps to keep the mattress smelling fresh.
I pull my bed completely open when I get up. I make it up at least an hour later.
Yeah, but then I end up drawing into wrinkled sheets that night, and wrinkled sheets always feel dirty, even if they’re not. Plus, I have pets who like to sleep on the bed, and would like to keep their fur on the top of the bed, not in it. Then there’s the thing about one sloppy behavior leading to another.
Don't forget to wash your bed sheet & pillow sheets. Put your bed & pillows under the sun for a few hours every month (if available).

This is so stupid. We air beddings outside on a dry and sunny day and then we make the bed. When it is not sunny (and windy), we let the bedding air and then we make the bed. Always do your bed after airing it.
Nasty. Change your sheets at least once a week and you'll have a tidy bed AND less bed mites.
