About 6 Years Ago I Ditched Paper Towels And Switched To Cotton Shop Towels. I Bought 150 Off Amazon For About $30. They Have Been Life Changing For Staying Frugal And Eco Conscious! I Keep A “Garbage Can” In My Kitchen To Separate These Out And Wash When Full With Hot Water, Detergent, And Bleach

To whiten clothes and remove odors you can use white vinegar instead of bleach. Doesn't damage clothes and pipes like bleach can.
I use vinegar in my rinse cycle instead of softener. It helps get all the detergent out of the clothes along with brightening the colors. And, no, my clothes don’t smell like vinegar. :)

Frugal, absolutely. Not necessarily eco conscious, though. Same problem as with cloth diapers -- washing and bleaching them sends detergent and bleach into the environment, as well as uses water.
Paper towels get bleached as part of the manufacturing process to whiten them. With cloth diapers, there is no practical way of having zero environmental impact, are you suggesting that reusables have a worst impact than single use? If they do not, then the poster could be regarded as eco conscious, even if they are not completely footprint free.

I'm confused about this. I usually only use papertowels for patting meat dry and when I run out of toilet paper. For all the rest I just use a dishcloth and kitchen towels. what are people in the US doing with papertowels???
Using bleach to make towels look white is not eco-conscious. Regular washing in hot water is fine.
For private homes fabric towels are standard. You have a couple, 10 maybe, and that's it.
stop using paper towels folks......more trash....i have reduced my use to apprx. 8 rolls a yr. i pick up flannel rags and such at garage sales and like the OP said, launder everything, smells better, less waste and i know its probably a pittance but, every little bit helps stop filling garbage cans...
i buy cotton t shirts at yard sales for 10 to 25 cents and cut them up. we do 'family cloths' instead of tp too....

Some people have to buy things pre-cut; it's not laziness, it's necessity. Imagine trying to slice up a big-ass watermelon with arthritis, or Parkinson's; maybe someone who is severely depressed who needs to eat, but is unable to prepare food for themselves.

I do my best to be frugal and sustainable, but as someone with several mental illnesses, more than a few of these just aren't feasible for me. Besides not having any sewing talent, when I have a depressive episode, things like pre-cut fruit, donating instead of upcycling (clutter makes my depression worse), or ordering food in are real lifesavers that make my quality of life a lot better than it would be otherwise.
This took me back to the 1990’s! There was a very popular lifestyle newsletter called The Tightwad Gazette, edited by Amy Dacyczyn, that elevated frugality to an entertaining art form and competitive game. The complete series is available in several volumes and you can find it on Amazon.

Another tip for saving money: don't be a cheapskate when buying lightbulbs. The cheapest LED lamp for a given brightness output is going to be very poorly made (few chips driven at very high current, inadequate heat sinking, etc.) $0.25 can make a huge difference in how long that lamp lasts which helps you and the environment in the long run.
Lots of of these things involve a lot of work and time to work out. Therefore the "real" costs are a lot higher. However, if you enjoy it you should definitely do it.
Which ones? Cutting cloth into parts? Putting a ribbon on a pillow-case? Maybe dunking onions in water? Most of these are easy to do for anyone.
