Student Carries His Disabled Classmate To School Every Day For 3 Years
Every day for the last three years, Xie Xu, 18, has been carrying his best friend and classmate to school on his back. His friend is a disabled person that has muscular dystrophy, a disease that results in progressive skeletal muscle weakness and potentially a shortened lifespan. Xie’s friend name is Zhang Chi, who’s nineteen years old. Soon, the two classmates will be separated when they go to different colleges, and Zhang Chi will have to rely on himself.
For now, Xie has no problem helping others and makes at least a dozen daily trips with his friend, two hundred days per year, and even brings Zhang his meal every day. But this act of kindness and dedication extends beyond friendship: Xie Xu and Zhang Chi are also best in class.
“Xie…exerts a positive influence on other classmates, who readily help Zhang. With their assistance, Zhang has never missed out on one single class,” remarked the vice headmaster of Daxu High School. A US human rights report on China states that 243,000 school-age children with disabilities do not attend school. And though that’s hard to believe, it’s sadly a true story.

This is the spirit of true mateship! Even though they may be separated by the miles at college, they will still be together their hearts!
Humans can be such wonderful souls, we could all learn so much from Xie and he's not even a grown man yet :)
the most humane thing that i have seen all day and proves that even the youngest person can make a difference to someones life.
.... then you get the students who are given every educational opportunity, but are too lazy to exert themselves.
Hopefully one day he gets a wheelchair so he can go places independently
I can donate my late father's wheelchair, if only someone can take it to that boy...
