26 Rare Pics Of Freddie Mercury And His Boyfriend From 1980s Reveal The Unseen Side Of Him
Now regarded as a gay icon, Farrokh Bulsara, more widely known as Freddie Mercury mostly kept his sexuality and relationships secret. Maybe that's why when you look at these candid photos of the famous singer and his last boyfriend Jim Hutton, you can't help but feel a sense of intimacy that reveals the real beauty of the gay couple's love.
The Queen vocalist began seeing hairdresser Jim Hutton in the mid-1980s, but the start of their relationship was rocky. Freddie approached Jim on two different occasions at a club, and both could be considered unsuccessful. It wasn't until the two met a third time at the same club (about two years after the initial chat) that Mercury's persistence won Hutton over and the two got together.
im moved into Garden Lodge with Freddie about two years later and stayed together until the artist's death in 1991. Once diagnosed with AIDS, Mercury even offered his partner an exit on their relationship, but he declined. "I love you, Freddie," Jim recalled his own words in a documentary. "I'm not going anywhere." And he didn't - Hutton nursed the love of his life and was there when Freddie released his last breath.

The only triggering thing in those pics is the same mustache on both of them X)
What a stupid insensitive thing to say, Nigel Brown. Do you shame cancer victims and diabetics too?
He looked good in jeans. He looked good white pants and yellow jackets. He looked good in women's clothes. And he looked good in pressed pants. You were the real king of rock, Freddie. King & Queen!
He's just looking at the camera and you can tell he is thinking "I just love this sh*t, I am soooooooo lucky to be here now." I wish he still was...
No dear... I was born yo love you is for a woman that song and here is a screenshot and Freddie was drugged at that party ,he even didn't remember what he did....he declared this in interview and Prenter recognized he gave that drug
In the middle of reading a F. Mercury biography right now. Some interesting information. Read an article recently with an interview of Brian May. He commented that near the end, it got so bad for Freddie that he had to have a foot amputated. Such a sad loss for the music world. Miss you Freddie.
AIDS took my father. He participated in clinical trials at Yale/Nathan Smith and i took him to every appointment. I believe that his doing this is the reason why AIDS is no longer a fatal disease. Bohemian Rhapsody is the most clarifying heart wrenching song... I love you, Papa
Freddie Murcury was not bisexual he just had a hard time accepting being gay and struggled with it so he did have a long time gf . Once he accepted himself she became his best friend. She was the one that nursed him mostly in his worst times. He also left most of his estate to her. I think he was a musical genius and deeply troubled soul, I have read everything I can about him and his life that's where I get my information.
I know I spelled name wrong, i was doing it quickly and didn't proofread 😕
Load More Replies...Love Queen and love Freddie and dearly miss his magical presence and talent. But... these are private and intimate pictures and should have stayed private, being fans isn't an excuse for being voyeurists. Whoever "leaked" these photos, I'm not convinced it was the right choice.
I appreciate seeing the personal intimacy and the love they shared. These pics show Freddie the person and not just the stage persona.
Load More Replies...You mean the guy everyone already knew was awesome, gentle, and genuinely a nice guy is awesome, gentle, and genuinely a nice guy? No one will believe this unseen awesome, gentle, and genuinely a nice guy side of him! There's nothing unseen about these photos tbh.
You could tell that they were in love and happy and that is AWESOME!!!! Freddie was and still is AMAZING!!!
I still remember the Day, when a friend called me sobbing and said "He died...". I don't think there have been many events like that that shapped my teenage-hood. I think the love we bear Freddie Mercury will never die.
It would be extremely difficult to imagine the music industry without him. He was an icon.
Jim. A wee bit older. Upon his death, Mercury left Hutton £500,000 as well as a plot of land at Rutland Terrace, Carlow where Hutton built a house. He died and was buried in his native Ireland. Jim-592e54...cde8d8.jpg
I am sure I'm not the only one who felt a bit odd being fan and having a role model in a gay person back at the end of 70's when general culture didn't accept openly declared homosexuals; therefor, its clear why Freddy led his private life in secret. Freddy was such a powerful singer, a sensitive composer and an outstanding perfomer regardless of his preferences, but still today feels awkward meddling his inner circle only to confirm what always had been told. Nevertheless, Freddy was and will be my favorite star and most beloved gay person.
First song i remembers as a kind as 4-5 years old to fall in love with was Radio Ga Ga. Have loved Queen ever since :)
most of these are not even remotely rare since hutton published them with his autobiography years ago, but still. amazing man.
Omg freddie, what the hell i was get read........ It is bull s**t i think, he weren't be a gay, it is all just for peoples masses....... Look at the seventh photo, his eyes, he thinking "what the f**k i doing here with that gay damn"........ With some shame......
"Boyfriend"????? That's a bit of an outdated term. They were partners. In partnership, in love.
