Meet This Tiny Oreo Cloud Who Will Eventually Become A Giant 85-Pound Floof (12 Pics)
Interview With OwnerThis little pup was nicknamed Oreo cloud and once you see his coat, you’ll instantly understand why.
When Sara Hamilton shared pics of her little boy on a popular Facebook group called Dogspotting Society, they immediately went viral, receiving over 22K reactions and 2.5K comments. People were drooling and melting, and they were tagging their friends to meet the irresistible furball as well.
“Our little Oreo cloud is actually named Chief!” Sara told Bored Panda. “Oreo cloud is our favorite nickname for him since he looks like an Oreo Mclurry fluff.”
And Chief isn’t just about the looks. He’s also very easy going and smart, and is on his way to becoming a therapy dog.

“We named him Chief because he will grow to be around 85 pounds and also because he is most definitely a leader, not a follower,” Sara explained. “He came to us fully potty-trained at 8 weeks and is very well-behaved, he learns quickly!” Chief’s owner said that he is also very protective, and loves to sleep by the main door every night.

“The first thing we noticed about him besides his cute spots is that he loves to cuddle and he will nap on you. He has the loudest snore out of everyone in the household.”

Sara and her husband have also noticed in the short while they’ve had him that he loves baths and gets extremely jealous when he realizes someone is drawing one without inviting him.

“This sweet fluff entered our lives just a bit over one week ago. Perfect timing now that we have a lot of time to spend with him as a puppy. He came to us from Omaha, Nebraska, which is about a 1,700 mile journey to Northern California! We are a recently married couple and we felt this was a great time to add to our little family. He also has a chameleon brother,” Sara added.

Since Chief was born around lots of children, he is used to it and loves all people. “I have a background volunteering with sick kids in hospitals, so I knew that he would be the most amazing therapy dog that would help bring a little joy to those in their darkest moments.”

For now, since the couple are staying at home, they are training Chief daily to teach him proper etiquette. “He is progressing very well,” Sara said. “Once the world heals and we can resume normal life, we will be taking him to attend a series of basic dog training and therapy classes. Once he is one year old and has taken the essential classes, he can officially take his final test to be certified. Then he will be working weekly visits in children’s hospitals.”

People can’t get enough of Chief and his cuteness
Adorable puppy, but not a purebred. And, while this puppy will probably be just fine, breeding dogs specifically for a merle gene can cause an increase in issues.
I agree! Very very cute dog, not so cute when they are born deaf and blind because double-merle genetics

Seriously? @BoredPanda can't you do something about these spam bot accounts? It's getting really really bad!
"He's so fluffy i could die!" - Agnes, "Despicable Me" (the 1st one) Me too, Agnes!
That's not Chow Chow, this breed don't have this white and gray color, unless they are mixed with Eurasier dog then they have this beautiful color.
Eurasiers cannot have this color, they can only be solid or sable, merle isn't permitted.
Load More Replies...My guess would be Chow based on coat/body style and and some Aussie contributing the merle pattern, cute but based on temperament, not a combo I would pick as a potential therapy dog. Hopefully they did heavy socialization with him while young.
Unless you want a defect merle dog please go ahead.
Load More Replies...I really hope being a therapy dog works out. He seems perfect for it. More importantly, there are so many uses for therapy dogs, such as for trauma, for sick people, or even just bringing to school every once in a while for overstressed students.
Merle chow has defect blind or deaf so it shows how cross bred puppy feels.
Load More Replies...Some Chow's have very complicated and sometimes short tempered personalities when they get older as well. So that may add a possibility of an extra deficit in a already, at times, independent willful breed, that doesn't like to be messed with too much. They are usually set in their way quickly and prefer to near you, but not snuggled. My sister was gotten one as a pet when we were younger and it didn't go well. He didn't have the proper structure and socialization and became very aggressive with everyone but her. So if they plan to have it around children, it should be having children around now. During this time may prove difficult, but introducing him later at a yr old may be missing necessary social skills and ques with small children that he may not be able to develop later and may be too strongly attached to just them in his life. However, I hope for the best for him and his plan. He is extremely beautiful and I'm sure would be a welcomed sight to all who have the opportunity to work with you. Best wishes on your journey.
Chows aren't the only breed to get "short tempered" when they get old. Pain due to aging will do that to any breed, as well as most humans. I just don't like to see Chows (or any other "bad" misunderstood breed) get the bad rap that they don't deserve due to human error. Everything else is accurate.

This is an adorable pup. Unfortunately, his cuteness is being used against him. Some of these pictures appeared on the website majesticchowchow.com. The dog was being sold for $700 and is currently located in Lakeland, Florida. I was all set to purchase this adorable dog as a gift. Thankfully, before I cash app the money, I did a check and found Chief pictures and what appears to be his true owners. If you are in the market for a pup, please be careful there are quite a few scammers out there.
Okay, something strange is happening. I just emailed that breeder about Chief and how he was owned by someone that is posting his story online and they closed the webpage. Stellaschowchowpuppies.com just shut down. They were trying to get me to put a $300 deposit down and pay $600 for this exact same dog and even used pictures from his owner Sara Hamilton. I was moments away from buying another chow chow from them and now have a feeling their whole site is a scam. So sad to think people would be expecting a puppy and find out they got ripped off.
It's really weird just found a chow chow breeder that says this exact dog is dor sale. Same picture and dog name. Not sure what is going on here. But someone needs to pull this dog off of that breeders webpage.
Merle dogs do get defects such as blind or deaf. Be careful buying a merle pets. They are roughly $2,000-$3,000 grand because breeders like to push for unique look, but these poor rare breeds end up with complication health problems advice not to buy rare breeds. They are beautiful, but it's not meant to mix breeds.
Thank you! I agree with you 100% people are blind to cross bred. It's all about looks and not about their poor health condition. Too many fools out there want their pets to look different when it's really the cross bred who is suffering. Shame on all those blind fools! Never cross breed.
Load More Replies...Why did they say she grows up to be an 85lb floof, if we don't get to see pics?!
Because it says "She will eventually become". They can't post pics until she's grown. Lol. They know how big she will be roughly because they know the parents or breed.
