This Floret Flowers Market Instagram feed shows heaven on Earth. Trucks full of flowers, buckets of daffodils and arms full of peonies seems like a fantasy, but for Erin Benzakein, the owner of Floret Flowers, it’s everyday usual.
Erin is a florist, photographer, writer and a mom of two living in Skagit Valley, WA. Years ago Erin left the big city to pursue a simpler life in the country. She began growing flowers after planting some sweet peas in honor of her great grandmother, who had introduced her to gardening. “When the first flush of sweet peas bloomed in our new garden, it felt as if she were there with me. I knew I had found my calling,” claims Erin on her website.
Now the family has a thriving farm, design studio and learning center, which offers lessons for anyone interested in botanical arts. A real dream-come true!

Not only beautiful flowers, but excellent photography too! Erin, I can almost smell your flowers from here. Wonderful.
We are just people and, although you have the privilege to be surrounded by such beauty every day, one should not forget that being a florist can mean a lot of work...hard work. Just imagine getting started around 5-6 am to go and buy flowers at the market and then work and serve customers till you close your shop around 7 pm. Saturdays included, often even Sundays when Christmas comes around.
