Load More Replies...They are awesome! I hope they didn't get caught.. (or recognized after by this picture). Not sure what the punishment will be :(
Who really knows, but I have read stories of women acting as men a risking being put to death. I mean I don't know much about it but I sure hope it wasn't that and that they are safe :(
Load More Replies...I still don't understand why this part of the world treats women like that. In a world where religious communities slowly fall apart, there's simply no place for such sexist discrimination! They could be awesome cosplayers, though.
They haven't always been like this. The shift of power on their side of the world put extreme mysogynists in power.
Load More Replies...Ridiculous that they must live this way! Look at pics of Iran in the 70s. They looked like a normal city! Then this new regime took over and took away their freedom!
I. Just. Don't. Get it. I understand different religions, different beliefs, different ways of living. I do my best to respect the non-harmful ones. But keeping girls from attending a soccer game...? I don't understand, help me out?
It's misogyny. There's nothing to understand. It's just irrational.
Load More Replies...So sad they aren't allowed in, but what a great act of defiance! #RESIST
I wonder if there's a beard vendor outside, like in Life of Brian? If not, there should be! :D
In Iran, women did not used to be treated as slaves. Countries can progress from freedom and some amount of social egalitarianism to the point of treating women as house sex slaves due to fundamentalist (which does NOT mean traditional or old-fashioned) religions taking over the government. We must be diligent against that.
Yes, I was telling my brother about this-- Iran used to be one of the most progressive Middle Eastern countries, until the rise of Khomeni and the revolution. It is really sad how the country regressed after that. :(
Load More Replies...It's not a rule but their way their religion perceives females as 2nd class citizens.
Load More Replies...As much as it bothers me they have to do this, KEEP IT UP, LADIES!!!
You go ladies! But it is absolutely disgusting that this is how woman in Iran have to endure in 2018! Appalling.
2018 has nothing to do with anything. Things used to be BETTER for women there decades ago. Religious rule can completely change a culture by force, especially when the government is replaced by force.
Load More Replies...I am so happy these women got to see their team and enjoy themselves. But I'm sad that they had to pretend to be someone else in order for it to happen.
The one on the left is too pretty to be a boy! She needs a fake beard proto!
That's what I thought too. I don't think she is fooling anyone. The rest of them, though! Wow!
Load More Replies...So sad that girls and women in some parts of this world are treat like second class citizens. Hard to believe that we are in the 20th century.
I don't know why you got downvoted. It is titled "5 girls..." I have been staring at that second one too. She should get a job in movie makeup.

The thing that breaks my heart is looking at so many kind people and knowing they are the ones that western society often writes off, a "bad a*s" teenager, an overweight black woman working as a server in a diner, the elderly, an Iranian school teacher, a "creepy" guy with long hair...but there they are, living their life and being kind.
