FBI Asks People To Send Evidence Of Violence During Protests, Gets Videos And Pics Of Police Violence In Response
The First Amendment gives Americans the right to assemble peacefully and air their views. And the FBI “respects the rights of individuals to peacefully exercise their First Amendment rights,” as stated in its press release published on the 1st of June.
But in the wake of Mr. George Floyd’s death, on many occasions, peaceful protesters have been met by disproportionately brute force. And when the FBI asked to share digital evidence of violent individuals, people responded with countless examples showing police officers using hostile force.
It’s not the first time that the FBI has put out a nationwide call for pictures and videos that could help to identify people “actively instigating violence.” The strategy has been used during melees that followed Lakers victories in downtown Los Angeles and others cities like Baltimore.

WTF?! These people are paid to protect and serve the public not point their guns at the face of a man with a small child on his shoulders. Seriously Did this guy really think anyone trying to balance a kid on his back would pose a significant enough risk that he thought he had to use a weapon.
Yup, now people believe me that they were being framed (the protesters)
Bored Panda spoke to the front-line protester Kiki who shared the first-person account of what happened during the protests from Friday to Sunday. “I packed up a grandma cart with Gatorade, water, snacks, and hand sanitizer and took it out to the White House/Lafayette square to hand out to protesters.”
Kiki also said that “these protests have been VERY peaceful during the day. What I have witnessed was very diverse groups of protesters (all ages, races, backgrounds) who were passionate, loud, and angry, but peaceful.”
On Monday, she was handing out supplies to a bunch of peaceful protesters. “They were all very appreciative of the support they were getting from the community and I was honestly moved by how many people stopped and said a sincere 'thank you' to me when really I wanted to thank them for continuing to exercise their right to protest.”
Oh man... I am sorry but watching these kind of videos make me full of anger and disappointment :( Why man... Why do you have to push that citizen there?
You know that that poor kid will NEVER trust a cop again. Way to "serve and protect" dickheads.
About 3 o'clock on Monday, the group of peaceful protesters that were at the police line at the White House/ Lafayette Square made their way on foot to the capitol. “When I got there, I saw only peaceful protesting there too.”
“Between 6:20 or so, skirmishes started to happen where people would start fleeing away from the police line.” Kiki got swept up in a group of running people.
She recounted that “I was standing to avoid 30 feet or so from the police line when all of a sudden, flash grenades started to go off.” It was the first time she had seen or heard “a flash grenade that close to me.” She said: “It’s loud and frightening and totally shocks your heartbeat.”
It was panic and chaos all around. “As I retreated back in the direction of my car, 3 or 4 additional flash-bangs went off while peaceful protesters fled.” When she turned around to see what was happening, the tear gas and rubber bullets started.
whoever that guy is with the pepper spray, forcing it into their faces at point blank, he needs to be found and charged, these photos and videos are breaking my heart!
I have ultimately decided to move to New Zeland I am so done with america
As the woman was running back to her car, “police were shouting at all of us over an intercom that we had 10 minutes to get home or we would be immediately arrested.” She made it home by 7:30.“
I didn’t sleep at all because I was so worried all evening and speaking with the protesters on Swann Street trapped inside the house.” At 5 AM, the woman left her house with Gatorade, water, and snacks and headed over to the home on Swann Street to help the sheltered people. Read more about the Swann Street incident right here.
"From there, I witnessed all of the protesters hugging each other and saying goodbye and exchanging info. I have no doubt that many of them will be connected for life because of the harrowing night they experienced together,” the protester said emotionally.
This is the video that broke me. The cops have already been charged with excessive force. https://www.google.com/amp/s/amp.cnn.com/cnn/2020/06/03/us/atlanta-police-booked-felony-charges-protest/index.html
This incident was so that Trump could get his picture taken in front the church.
They are that pathetic it takes that many officers to detain one non violent person? This is maddening
Again, this is what Trump ordered to clear the road for his photo op.
Oh, please - that lying sack of s**t is the main reason we're HAVING social unrest.
the third thug ran in to kick a man down.....how do they live with who they are
The caption on this picture is incorrect. The police are using pepper spray on people trying to get back on the freeway after the semi truck came through the crowd of protestors. They didn't spray people trying to get off the freeway.
Had this person been hit in the head? Looks like he's bleeding from the head and twitching and you can hear one of them say "stop aiming for the head" and then they just drag the injured person off? Wonder what happened to him.
The cop who fell all on his own probably took his trip out on a protestor --and most likely a woman
This is absolutely disgusting. Couldn't watch them all Didn't think USA gov could go down in my opinion but they continue to surprise me. This is not a free country and it's definitely not a 'first world country'
What do you expect when Trump is in charge, they behave exactly in the way their president expects of them.
These pictures aren't surprising at all if you know that the US police don't get a police training but a paramilitary training. They don't have to have social skills or know how to deescalate situations. If they know how to fight, shoot and drive a car, they'll pass their exam after 19 weeks of education. US cops are just the worst trained cops and on top of that there isn't even some psychological test they have to pass. So basically any psychopath can become a cop. Add to this fact that cops cover for cops and it's not difficult to imagine how cops get to a state of mind that they can get away with everything they do. Just like Derek Chauvin did when he killed George Floyd on camera without a worry in the world.
This really start to look like a dictatorship. It's unreal. You guys are living în a dystopian society.
As an African American, this saddens me very deeply. Some police officers are good, but then you have the ones that behave like this. It is frightening to be black in America right now because it seems that a lot of police officers have gone crazy and we don't know when or who they might take their crazy out on.
This is disgusting. And what is worse, I cannot say that I am not shocked by it.
Some of these videos, I can find SOME understanding. There was one where the police stood in front of and ENORMOUS wall of protesters behind a fence, and slowly the fence began to bend and the press of people got very intense. I can imagine that in that situation, teargassing the crowd so they'd dispense and further ensuring they really did go home was the right decision (though it's just an observation from me). I mean, there were two line of police-officers and idk how many hundreds of people. If the pitiful fence broke, people might have gotten injured - not just police. If people would have pushed from behind, the people in front might have gotten squished and hurt, too. So that is one moment where I thought that it was actually okay, the way they handled the situation. Looked awful from above - but imagine standing there, holding a line and watchign a crowd of people come ever closer? BUT - (1/2)
My daily commute takes me through a community which is largely affluent and white. Why does every single car I see pulled over have a black or Latino driver? It may not involve excessive force, but it sure seems designed to send a message.
OK let's clear something up> DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY HAS CONFIRMED THAT WHITE SUPREMACIST GROUPS ARE ONLINE INCITING VIOLENCE BETWEEN PROTESTORS AND POLICE via social media posts. So what's that again about "liberals making violence"????
I could only watch a few, but in each of them the victim was white. Is it that pesky ALM-crowd voting them up?
The duty of the police is supposed to be to protect and serve the community. Police officers are supposed to be peace officers. The ones needlessly killing and violently abusing protesters are worse than disgusting. The constitution gives people the freedom of speech, and the freedom of assembly. When the police violate this, that is a horrible high crime. When they assault the press they are the lowest of the low scum. We need a free press to have a functioning democracy. Black lives matter. We demand justice for George Floyd and all black people wrongfully killed by "peace officers"!
Normally, I pick out a few images to "like" and perhaps make a comment or two. This was so depressing that I just can't. The people we PAY, the people we TRUST! Tears ...
You guys are close to being permanently f****d. A lot of digging to do to get out of that hole. I truly hope you can turn it around or else you willl have to get used to the taste of boot. All of you because it wont stop with minorities.
Short version: Cops are power-crazed, suburbanites seriously think they'll be looted like it's a bad movie, and the day it takes FIVE cops to subdue ONE person, that ONE better be the Incredible Hulk on bath salts... Or, just, y'know. Not white enough in Murica.
I can't understand how...HOW is something like this possible in 21. century in democratic state...it's like a war
What no one bothered to show was the "peaceful protestors" throwing rocks, or boiled eggs that they had frozen at police who were standing in line blocking their way into neighborhoods. One of my neighbors is a sheriff's deputy and she is covered with bruises from being pelted with frozen hard boiled eggs thrown by peaceful protestors. I understand that some policer officers are not good, are brutal and should not be "protecting" the public, but lumping all officers in the same bucket is wrong. There are good officers and they are trying to get rid of the others, its the police unions that are the problem. Police chiefs fire officers that have no business being on the force and the unions get them their jobs back. Lets petition to get rid of the police unions so we can have decent police forces.
Bored Panda is a Liberal dumpster fire of a website. This is utter BS. So you post 31 completely out of context photos and videos (some taken YEARS AGO!) of ONLY police violence. How many videos and pictures have we seen of rioters attacking innocent civilians? People trying despretly to defend their businesses, their life's work from looters? But not one of those photos made this joke of a "list". Down vote me! I know you will. But you know i'm right.
Please keep posting these videos. Keep posting and keep marching. We don’t stop until they do. No justice no peace.
Mussolini and Hitler and Putin and...are looking on with great approval
Of all the police officers in the US, there are very few bad ones. The news give the bad rep that all “police officers are evil,” where most are great people. Please keep this in mind as you continue to look at these posts.
Oh, Americans, my heart grieves for you and your country. I'm sure some protestors set out to deliberately provoke police. But these clips show cops tasing, spraying and beating people WHO WERE JUST STANDING THERE! In any case, police here in Australia are trained not to respond to provocation. Sure, we have some bad cops who like a bit of biffo (as we say) but they are a tiny, tiny minority. This is organised, systematic and gratuitous brutality. I'm a realist and I know cops have a tough job but I was so shocked to see this. If it weren't for the captions and clearly American voices, I would have thought it was some totalitarian regime. And your President is pouring petrol on the flames. I hope you somehow come through this desperately sad and horrific period.
I feel the urge to say something else (sorry, so much to say!) I don't hate police, not ours nor the US-police. Why would I? they have an important, s****y job that gets them in contact with the lowest humanity can get and they probably don#t get paid enough for that. Not unlike healthcare-workers, when you think about it. I feel saddened for the ones that will have to carry the burden of the utter S**T some of their fellows did, are doing and will keep on doing, because it erodes trust and they NEED trust to do their jobs. If everyone is afraid to call the police or takes their justice into their own hands, it'll be utter chaos and cost a terrible price. So please, to every relevant person who reads this: understand the difference between the system the officers are working in and the officers themselves. They are human, they get scared, they have family - just like you. And if they get injured, they bleed and cry, and there will be NOTHING gained if you kill or injure them on (1/2)
@FBI - your turn now - keep your PDs under control. Thatˋs frightening - donˋt keep wondering why people do not trust them. It seems as if your "apple-bucket" has way more bad than good apples ... and here i thought police was overreacting when they turned up with water gun vehicles on sylvester to an open party in leipzig germany ...
I can't watch any of the videos. Is it just me? Am I missing something?
The one thing that might be useful is facial recognition software, as many of these victims of police violence will neither be arrested nor charged, and with that, they may sue the agency, as no charge or arrest means that they are not suing against qualified immunity but excessive & unnecessary force, and once the cities see the price tag, maybe elected officials may rethink how they allow these actions to happen. In a city, no matter how large, mayor & council tell the manager to run the city, and the manager then tells the police to act as they do. It takes only one mayor/manager to tell the police not to do this, and it will stop. I doubt this will ever happen, but we can hope.
Just look at those fat coward savages. In Germany and Austria, police have to go through a proper police academy, the training lasts several years and is equivalent to a Bachelors degree. In US, cops are shown how to escalate, oppress, intimidate, and fire guns to save their coward fat asses.
This made me sick to my stomach and incredibly sad. I've always believed that the police are basically good and working under difficult circumstances. But these picture, from so many places, showing unarmed, quiet people being manhandled, beaten, shot at, their property being damaged, all by well-armed police...well I couldn't even watch the whole thing. It just brought me to tears. This isn't the country I know. I live in a major city, a mixed community of blacks, whites, and immigrants. Yes, there's a lot of violence in some areas, but where I live, we all seem too get along. I treat everyone I encounter with dignity and respect so I get treated the same way. Words like Hello, Please, Thank you, Excuse me, are a natural part of my vocabulary for everyone and they make a difference. No, they won't eliminate police brutality, but we can start by making our neighborhoods nicer places for ourselves, our neighbors, and our local police too.
Interestingly, when the FBI asked for tips on people who "incited violence", they were probably talking about people inciting looting, rioting, and arson, none of which are violent crimes. The media always uses the term "violent" when referring to destruction, such as "protests turned violent last night", when there was ZERO violence, but there was destruction. It's really, really wrong and harmful to not distinguish between the two.
I was born and raised in america and am now 68 years old. There were problems then too. The difference between then and now is all the problems and corruption is coming out into the light so everyone can see it and not being swept under the carpet anymore. Things are changing and change can be painfull.
Great job on highlighting s**t people. I stand for busting up bad cops. Even believe if a civilian would get X months for a crime, if a cop did it, then double the time and put them in general public, not protected housing. But this is the low percent. Most cops are good people that want to go home to their families.
Here are several hundred examples of police brutality and unnecessary violence curated into a single Twitter thread: https://twitter.com/greg_doucette/status/1266751520055459847
After video 13 none of the videos would play. Not that it really matters, by that point I had seen enough to disgust me already...
Well according to Trump it was a great day today for Geroge Floyd... And this is the same man that can order a nucleair strike? :-p
