If you've ever worked at a fast food restaurant, you'd probably agree with me on this—working hours tend to get pretty boring and repetitive. However, with the power of good imagination, there are always at least a few things one can do to make the time spent at work more exciting and enjoyable. For instance, what's the harm in raising your own and the customers' spirits by having some fun with the restaurant's sign? As long as you don't go too far and don't get yourself fired, what's the worst that could happen, right?

This whole list was inspired by now-viral Twitter thread in which the user @Ghobsmacka shared some of their favorite messed-up fast food restaurant signs. "Thread of f**ked up fast food signs it's worth it I promise," they wrote in the caption.
The thread quickly received quite a bit of attention, and it currently has over 140k likes and more than 23k retweets.
Many other Twitter users jumped on the bandwagon and shared some of the best signs they've encountered.
Overall, the thread seems to consist of accidentally funny signs—beautiful disasters, if I do say so myself—and well-deliberated ones. However, both types seem to be cracking people up just the same.
Hilarious restaurant signs have been a thing on the internet for quite a while now. For instance, around half a year ago, we published an article listing some of the best signs of this Austin-based restaurant called El Arroyo. These signs are so iconic that the social media accounts dedicated to them are counting hundreds of thousands of followers.

Worked at a gas station, manager goes out to change the manual sign showing the prices (it’s like 6am or so). I told her to change the super expensive one to 6.66. She chuckled told me no. I never learned how to change the sign...
I like your sense of humor! One of my favorite details of The Walking Dead is that a gas station sign had the price set as 4.377, but it was upside down so it spelled out "hell". Screenshot...Chrome.jpg
