Top companies spend big bucks on their logo. After all, it's the visual representation of their character. An easily digestible display of their core values. In other words, a company's logo is its face. And you bet your wallet they want to look appealing.

So it's only natural when up-and-coming designers try to prove their worth by recreating famous logos. "These guys get paid millions of dollars but I can do it better for a fraction of that cost." The ultimate power move.

Take a look at some of these recreations we found on sites like dribbble and Behance. Upvote your favorites and let us know what you think about them in the comments! Enjoy.

I thought that the three black lines were imitating a sound wave, therefore the current one is more appropriate. Also, IMO, the ''S' in the redesign just doesn't look right.

Current is better. It's supposed to represent a lens...it would be better if they put three lenses...since that's kind of the trend now.

No smile because of the way they exploit their employees? If yes, then I agree.

They wouldn't get rid of the arrow. It signifies that they sell everything from A to Z.

Redesign misses the purpose of the arrow. amazon ships everything from "A" to "Z". Redesign just looks like another smiley face.

The other one reminds me of a smile. The new one just looks to simple and I can’t really see it.

Well the point of the arrow is that they have products from a to z, and also looks more like a smile. So I would say no on all counts

I like this one. The smiley face is more obvious and we all know Amazon needs more smiles these days. Maybe add a black smaller arrow in the smiley face scoop. I like the typestyle in the redesign.

I like it. The smiley face is more apparent and it still shows the a-z aspect. Go Redesign!!

That is not an improvement. In my opinion, this one cannot be improved on, especially by just eliminating the main element.

I hear everyone saying how the arrow represents they sell everything from a to z and I agree, however, I would really love it if the arrow wasn't so phallic *imho*

ok my only thing with this one is that the whole point was the arrow from a-z to show they have everything from a-z so if you take that away then there's not really any point.....

Redesigner: "Lets make it as generic as humanly possible." Hell, I'm starting to think I could be a "designer", and I have zero creative abilities...

Completely misses the point. The arrow indicates that Amazon sells everything "from A to Z," which is missing in the redesign.

The point of the arrow is that they have 'everything from A-Z'.

Doesn't work for me; the orange 'arrow' has become irrelevant.
