Bored Panda reached out to the mom of two, Miranda Pearce from Sandbach, Cheshire, UK, who is an expert marketing advisor for thousands of aesthetic clinicians, as well as the director and co-founder of SkinViva Ltd, one of the UK’s top aesthetic clinics.
Her recent TikTok video about a one-day trip to Universal Studios she had with her husband and two children went viral and sparked a discussion about soaring prices and ways to control family finances.
Pearce told us that overall, the trip to Universal Studios, Florida was “great fun” and she’d recommend it to others. When asked if it would have been possible to cut down on spending, Pearce said that “the comments would suggest yes.”
“I never expect videos to go viral, but in hindsight, it makes sense because it’s topical with the cost-of-living crisis,” the mother and entrepreneur commented.
Having said that, Pierce added that “you can make a packed lunch, etc. but I can’t really see a way round it still being a very expensive day out, even without the fast passes.” She added: “We had days out in Florida, e.g. to the beach, that were completely free and the memories we made there were just as good.”
Here’s the full video Miranda shared on her TikTok channel which went viral

The steep prices seem to have resonated with many people as they shared their thoughts in the comments
Food and beverages wasn't bad. Y'all elected to spend $400 on fast passes. That's on you.
Exactly. Last time I took my family there, I was shocked at how much more fast passes would cost. Sorry, I'll wait in line with the rest of the common folk.
Load More Replies...I'm as expecting their expenses outside the tickets to be costly. They should have known before they even left how much it would cost. The tickets were the main expense. The food and stuff wasn't that much. I wouldn't spend it but I also wouldn't go there thinking it would be cheap either.
I'm surprised that they're surprised. 2 minutes online would have told them that if they wanted to enter the park and skip the lines it would coat almost $900. The food was actually about what I would expect. Still not sure why someone would willingly get Wendy's for breakfast. Must be nice to have that level of financial ignorance where you don't have to know this stuff ahead of time.
Wendy's bacon egg and cheese biscuit with extra maple honey butter is actually really good. It sucks without the maple honey butter though. And their seasoned potatoes are good too. The coffee on the other hand is c**p lol
Load More Replies...Well you know what, you could have home made sandwiches for breakfast, you could have brought your own lunch boxes, you could do without fast passes and souvenires (Omg who pays 42 usd for a notebook) and so on and so one. You decided to do it the "luxurious" way and so you paid for it. I cant see the problem here.
Are you allowed to bring food into the park though? My parents and I have had to leave small picnics in the car when they didn't have No Outside Food on the website. Also been given c**p when I was older for a water bottle.
Load More Replies...Basically, a little over 79% of what they paid was the tickets, a huge chunk of that was the fast passes. No doubt they bought the tickets in advance, so they should have known before they even arrived that day how much it had already cost them and could have budgetted accordingly. They chose to get a breakfast out - when a lot of hotels have something available/included. It seems an excessive moan that the $19 dollar refillable drink was mostly spilt, but guess what, a) that's what happens when you have kids holding oversize drinks and b) it is refillable, which means they could have got a...what's that word...refill.
So somebody who teaches others how to sell overpriced sh*t to people who don't need it, is SHOCKED at how expensive overpriced sh*t you don't need is. Next story Ferrari dealer is aghast at the price of cars at his local dealership. Plus nearly $900 of the $1,100 is on tickets / passes / parking. Which is knowable in advance and should be expected.
So, they're complaining about a luxury (i.e. going on vacation to a holiday city, theme parks, buying food instead of bringing food to the park, buying unnecessary fast passes, buying tat, and then some)? Bro, bye.
Idk if they’re complaining, they’re just telling how much they spent. For some reason🤷♀️
Load More Replies...Go to Universal Studios during the week of Mardi Gras. Nobody there. Finish a ride and get right back on, if you want. No Fast-Pass required.
Disney is even more expensive and any of the free perks they used to provide hotel guests have all been stripped out. Pay for park, pay to park, pay to have shorter queues, but pay AGAIN for the most popular rides. Pay $7 for a stupid branded pencil and on and on...
Yeah Disney pisses me off. Poor people can not go to Disney
Load More Replies...Funny thing that people are stupid enough to spend that kind of money for one day , and how long to make it ????
Disney cost me 3000 for the 3 days back in 2001. Didn't stay at Disney either. I've never been back, never will be, once was enough.
People are so naive, did they not do any kind of research as to prices? EVERY Theme Park is a tourist trap created to get you to spend money. No surprise there! If you want a much better experience, go to a Natural Park or other Historical place that will make lifetime memories and won't break the bank! Walt Disney once said that his Disney parks were a giant mousetrap made for a human!
Saddest thing about this whole article, 90% of American families of four can't afford to even get into Universal Studios, let alone pay another $400 for "fast passes"...*shaking my dang head*
They had Wendy’s for breakfast, burgers for lunch, ice cream, and then Burger King for dinner??? Why is no one reacting to the fact these people are poisoning their kids lol
Because this is one day, on vacation. It doesn't represent every day of their lives, or what they regularly feed their kids. Stop making stupid assumptions about people based on a tiny, edited, 24 hour window into their lives.
Load More Replies...Disney is another predatory company that puts the screws to workers and visitors alike. Boycott the bastards.
If you divide 1130 by 4, it comes to around 278 dollars per person. You also chose to pay for the fast pass which isn't necessary but more of a desire. You're also going to an amusement park. This "marketing manager" has no clue how finances work. If you didn't pay for the fast pass, the total per person would be 182 dollars, which is totally reasonable for the entire day.
Need to pick the time of year you go. Its more expensive in the summer and peak holidays. Its less expensive at other times and in the 'off' season prices are not really that bad for entrance. However food inside the park is always expensive and the gift shop is a ridiculous joke. Thought I would buy a Hogwarts map from my niece it was over $100.00 for a piece of paper! Forget that. We took our own water bottles which you can usually refill and energy bars for food.
Peak season in Florida is actually from October to April because the weather is nice and warm but not the crazy humidity and temps of summer. All the festivals and the state fair are held in the “colder” months as a result. Hardly anyone does anything during the summer except go to the beach (if you live there).
Load More Replies...We went to the Magic Kingdom a couple of weeks ago. For 3 adults and 1 child it cost $625. If I had pre booked online it would have been double as you seemingly cannot buy day passes online, but a 2 day pass minimum to be used in 3 days. We got an ADA pass so we could use the virtual queue system (basically join a queue for a ride in the Disney app and go to that ride anytime after the time it gives you). We brought our own snacks and water. The only thing we bought was a new rucksack for my son to use at school. As we got there when it opened there were not a lot of queues so we did a lot of rides in most of the morning. Yes it was pricy but my son had the time of his life. The total cost was nowhere near as much as this person's day out.
We had a holiday for a week with a swimming pool, caravan for 150 euro for 4 ppl. Ate fries twice, 1 x 26 euro, 1 x 16 for only 2 and I rented a bike at the station for 4 euro a day to bike to the cheap grocery store to buy food to cook and one day I paid 30 euro for meat and stuff plus 17 to buy an electric bbq. Bought way too much. Could bbq 2 days and still have meat left in the fridge for a day. When we were on holiday we went out for a day to the city with the bus, I think it was 6 euro a person. There they wanted ice cream and fries or pizza, which was way too expensive, so we went to the grocery store and they all got a pizza slice for 1,50 a person, you could warm there. I ate the bread I took with me and for 4 euro we bought a package of 12 icecreams plus 4 other icecreams in a package and it was way too much, so we fed some Germans, who were also sitting on a free bench and they said Danke Lecker!!
I would have thought not getting the fast passes would have been false economy - you have already paid the flights from UK, accomodation, the tickets, and then spend most of your once-in-lifetime trip, your already expensive time in the park standing in queues? You may not know this, but the British webmaster queuers, they can do that at home.
I won a trip to Universal Studios a couple of years ago. I would have had to have made all the arrangements for myself and one guest myself and the prize company would give me the cask, $3,000. I figured airfare, hotel admission and food would have been mire than that. We took the money and went to a very nice inn near where we live for a spa weekend instead.
Years Ago-I worked part time at Disney's Original Park. It was $500.00 a day then for a family this size. I always thought they would be overpriced and underwhelming! My Sister has businesss interests in Orlando, She says it's ridiculous!
Well, that is what you get for being imbeciles and going the "oh we want a family and we want children and later those f*****s will beg to go to Disneyfuckoland and all the similar crapholes so we will get f****d up the a*s". Now you long for the 3 dollar condom box, you idiots?
We live in Florida so get "Resident Discounts". Even with that, the amounts re ridiculous. Mostly we used to be a Disney family- until recent intra-company doings amongst which is the absolutely over the top increase for admission and pretty much all else. Orlando is a tourist trap.
Mistake #1, you went hungry. Mistake #2, you went to Universal Studios for anything other than Halloween Horror Nights. Mistake #3, Fast Passes. As someone who lived in Florida; residents get a heck of a discount.. make local friends & have them buy the passes. Frankly I would never pay that price for entertainment if I didn't get to leave with a live unicorn. The Everglades/ Key West would have been cheaper and more entertaining IMHO.
Good thing I'm not in charge of this country because price-gouging, even at amusement parks, would be punishable by confiscation of all your assets and 10 years in prison. I would be outright draconian on these places.
Just stop going broke for entertainment it's just that simple and its not that important. In the end the rich get richer and the poor get poorer. Think differently about what matters most when spending time with family. We can live without these places .
ROFL! Took my family to Busch Gardens and Adventure Island a few weeks ago... Spent $2250! Two park passes, 4 riders, 6 to feed, hotel (2 days 3 nights), car rental, etc... Yeah, tourist trap vacations can be expensive. Oh, and that was with Florida resident discounts! However, the great time we had was priceless... Expect to dump a full paycheck or two on vacation. Do you realize how many employees they have to pay for all that convenience?
I haven't taken my family to Disney in years but seeing those lines with the timer saying 2hrs for next ride and over 100 people in line for a ride that's only last for a minute . The speed passes are definitely a must. They have Disney and anything around it expensive. You all made out pretty good. Great deal.
"Topical with the cost-of-living crisis?! What in the first world problems...? If you are able, and willing, to spend that amount of money like that you ate not dealing with a cost-of-living crisis. You are at beat oblivious, at worst ignorant and have no idea what the actual cost-of-living crisis entails. SMH.
Stop giving your money to Commie companies that are corrupt. Huge ripoff and they want to turn your kids into perverts. If everyone would stop we could really hurt them. Bankrupt Disney and the rest
"Topical to the cost-of-living crisis?! What in the first world problems...? If you are able, and willing, to pay that in a day you are not affected by the cost-of-living crisis. Blatant ignorance...
Amusement parks are specifically designed as traps that lure the simple minded inside. "A fool and his money are soon parted"
We had the same experience at Epcot center. My brother said “there is a sucker borne every minuet.” Only in the US do they build a mall and charge you $160 USD per person to get in. Everything inside was super expensive and c**p quality. We could have spent that money 100000 other ways and it would have been more worth it. You can’t really stand in line for 90 minute with a 4 year old for a 5 minute ride. All these movie parks in Florida are a scam. Save your money people.
You spent $900 for a family of 4 for tickets and fast passes. All I see is a family blessed with the luxury to splurge. ...and how unaffordable this luxury is for the average Joe. Whoopty woop... But thanks for sharing It allows others planning a trip to the same destination to plan and budget accordingly
So this is just stupid. Prices are displayed. You want to eat in the park? They are going to charge an arm and a leg. Be responsible for your spending habits.
That is not even remotely shocking. That’s just what those amusement parks cost. Did they not check beforehand?
At least you had a lot of fun! I paid $6 for a juice and same amount for a croissant at the Austin airport. My reward? Canceled flight due to the power outage on the airport. We walked almost a mile on the highway.
This total is for 4 people, so its pretty good to end up at about 290$ per person 👍 Note that this includes 110$ for ticket and another 100$ for fast pass, so 200$ is just the ticket costs, and only 90$ for food and souvenirs
Ohh, no! You had the privilege to go on an expensive vacantion, what a tragedy. Many of us meticulously make a budget for our vacation that we simply cannot stray from. These guys overhere didn't even check the prices
Went to Orlando's SeaWorld for the weekend and spent $1316 for a package of a 2night stay at a hotel that was 5mins away which free parking at the amusement and a $50 gift card for all persons paid for. Seaworld has an up charge of 5% with ALL transactions. In just seaworld alone = $1550.29. For the 3 days that we were there spent totaling $1809.62. That doesn't include the expensive merchandise we bought for our littles.
Feeling like maybe the post was to demonstrate the food prices are as expected. Not sure how that can go viral, but I can't afford to pay double for fast passes either, so maybe I'm on a different level.
More evidence that all British are daft, thick, and stupid to the point of complete uselessness
You're a horrible human being for saying that. More evidence your parents did a terrible job raising you.
Load More Replies...I totally agree with the fast passes but yes, that really was your choice. As to everything else... Parking is a rip-off!! That price is unnecessary! Food, well I guess if you can bring your own, that's what I would do. First, I'd get my accomodations either with breakfast or I'd make it. Second, after a day like that, a simple meal from the dollar menu is fine and maybe eat something you've bought at a grocery. As to souvenirs, you can buy that same journal at a store off site, for half that. Then you could small items for keepsakes. Drinks, bring water with you. Make s plan for ONE type of sweet-treat of choice. Food is pretty pricey when you can bring your own stuff. Spend your money in better ways to make your trip more memorable. Oh and BTW, if you think Universal was expensive DON'T go to DISNEY! That trip will cost the same as 3 or 4 house/rent payments!! (That's just a sarcastic example to show how outrageous those prices)
With just a little research online ahead of time would have saved them money on tickets. Just a quick search I found several sites where you can save money on tickets. https://legolandinflorida.com/universal-studios-orlando-discount-tickets/
When I book a holiday, I budget, flights, hotel, prebook excursions, then sort spending money. I feel like they are fishing for likes here, are they trying to say they didn't know how much the park and fast pass were going to be? Poor kids putting up with this, their mother taking pics of receipt all day long 😂 I took my daughter to Harry Potter London experience this year and a west end play, it cost a lot, especially the gift shops, I knew because I did a bit of homework on costs. I grinned and bore it, even as she was buying £300 worth of stuff in the gift shop. It was a fantastic holiday. Worth ever cent for the experience and the joy it brought to the child.
When I went back n in the early 2000s we made peanut butter jelly sandwiches cut them in little pieces..ate at dennys across the street mid day..was pretty cheap
Going Solo like Myself, it’s cheaper, but not for Families, You’ve got to buy breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would’ve ate outside for both breakfast and lunch, it’s worth it. The problem is that once You’re inside, You’ve got to go by Their prices $$$ and the food is not that great regardless of the Vendor (ie: McDonalds, KFC) You’re locked in. And lastly, I would’ve purchased a magnet with a scene from that place. The nice looking toys are for the Kids to buy, and You’ll wished You didn’t, it broke in a few days. Definitely, not long term material. And the Fast Passes are great but for a Family it’s a lot of money $. But overall, You had LOTS OF FUN 😀FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY!!!
Why does universal charge you twice if you want the fast passes? They charge you admission then another fee for the fast passes? That’s crazy!!!
So you had to pay $400 dollars plus for admission tickets then $300 plus for fast passes? Why two ticket charges? That’s ridiculous!
Ugh. These kinds of posts annoy the shít outta me. They're less of a complaint, and more of a humblebrag, really. Like whining that the leather strap on your Rolex is fraying, or crying that you need new tires for your Bugatti. Fúck outta here with that noise.
First off, yeah, like everyone said, they chose the fast pass. That's on them. Second off, did they REALLY expect any different?? it's 20fúcking22. Gas is almost $4 a gallon, eggs are $3 a carton, and a case of Coke is *$12* fúcking DOLLARS. And that's just in the little country town where I live. EVERYTHING is astronomically high right now. Of course famous theme parks with their branded merchandise are gonna be 100x more. Lastly, who are these people that just have over $1000 (probably at least twice that, if you count airfare) to just hop a plane for a ONE day vacation OVERSEAS? Even if it was a family trip they saved up for, they have $1000 to just blow, in ONE day? Jesus, it takes some of us more than THREE WEEKS to make that much money. Héll, I could plan an entire FOUR DAY WEEKEND, on HALF that. And they just frittered it away, in one day. Must be nice.
I guess it shouldn't be surprising. When you have the kind of money this family obviously does, you don't have to be careful, and watch every penny. So if course you spend without thinking about it. I mean, I'm glad they had fun. And it does suck that things are so expensive. But again, THEY chose it. They CHOSE to spend $500 on tickets, and another $400 on fast passes. (Which is absurdly high, for one thing-the 4 of them could almost have gone twice, for that cost. For another, um, maybe teach Junior the value of patience, instead of instant gratification and entitlement? And if you're worried about not having enough time to actually ride stuff, maybe plan to stay longer than a single day? We all know you can afford it.) Which is 4/5ths of the cost they're whining about. So I really don't feel like they had a right to complain like that.
Load More Replies...Seems like it was all for food. Could have hit Safeway for a hundred bucks
You put a quarter in the juke box, now you get to dance the dance. It’s called supply and demand. The best way to protest high pricing is by abstaining.
It may seem like a lot to everyone, but you cannot put a price on memories. Everything is higher nowadays. I say go for it. Enjoy life to the fullest. The next second is not promised. Keep moving. Keep making smiles and laughter. Keep loving one another. Keep having onesupercalifragilisticexpialidicous
First ~ fast pass? Unnecessary! Second ~ breakfast and dinner at a fast food place? I call BS on adding that, especially breakfast. 98% of the Orlando hotels have a continental breakfast they could have eaten. And did she get the ONE souvenir for herself or do the two kids have to fight over it?
I always go to a hotel with breakfast included and shuttle service to universal or Disney, pack snacks, share pizza inside the park, ice cream (you can bring water bottles to refill inside) dinner is always a buffet or a restaurant outside the park. There is even a trolley that takes you to most amusement parks. I don't remember how much I paid at the hotel lobby but I got a bundle for Sea world and two days at universal that wasn't overly expensive, you have to do your homework before you go to these places. First time I bought the package with meals and all, it was a waste, don't do it, second time we went off season and it was great! Max wait time was 15 min.
Go in the off season. We went to Universal Studios Japan in February 2020 and it was cool and quite. Don't need fast passes that's for sure.
I'll go fishing instead. I hate people, and in no world am I gonna pay even half that for fake fun. I can take the whole family to the lake for a weekend for around $150usd including food, bait, beer, etc. So I think anyone who pays these prices needs to reevaluate their lifestyle.
Would I spend $40 on a journal you could buy on Wish for $5? Nope. Would I spend $400 to walk around in the Florida humidity with tens of thousands of other humans? Nope. Would I pay to park miles away from the entrance? Nope. Would I EVER spend $1,200 in ONE day for commercial garbage and overpriced, mediocre food? Nope But as long as y'all continue to be willing to split your veins open they will continue to bleed you dry. That's how capitalism works. Kinda like Field of Dreams only much worse. "If you pay it, they will upcharge it"
I paid $2100 for 3 people, 5 days/2 park passes, Halloween Horror Nights passes, and 5 nights in one of the resorts this coming October. I went last year as well and I was shocked at how AFFORDABLE everything was in comparison to what I was expecting. I also didn't shell out for the fast passes.
People make choices and then complain about those choices. Yes. It's expensive to go on vacation. I don't even have kids and i know that. If you can't control your 6 year old and have to pay several hundred dollars so he can get on rides first.. that some c**p parenting IMO. Same as complaining about spending $19 for your kid to spill the drink. That's on YOU.
Wow. She wasn't even complaining, but you're clearly a crabby a-hole. Go biitch about it to your friends. Nobody cares.
Load More Replies...I spent 2€ for socks today, around 15€ for groceries for my husband and I + my dad, 2,50€ for a bottle of beer, 7€ for a Jurassic World collectible item just for my amusement , 25€ for a thermal light bulb for my pet, 15€ for some cosmetics for my mom. Total 66,5€ 🟰 I don’t usually spend this much in one day. I guess everyone is interested? 🙃
Its ridiculous it cost that much they should cut some costs and make the parts more affordable let go of unneeded people and really do you have to check the rides for safety everyday ( The above is sarcasum) Parks can charge what they do because they know people will pay it, cant really blame them. And considering they employee THOUSANDS of people to ensure you have a good safe time its probably worth it. Unless of course its Six flags ... Then its exspinsive and you take your life in your own hands 😆
Hubby and I went to Venice for a week. Hotel was five minutes walk from San Marco. Went on a boat to Murano and Burano, where we had lunch. Visited the Guggenheim Museum then did the complete tour on a vaporetto. Ate out every night. Bought souvenirs, which included jewellery for our girls. Including flights €1200. Ten years ago I spent a month with my sister in Florida. Let's just say I maxed out my credit cards.
since tickets were bought ahead of time, you already knew you blew 800 bucks before even coming. This is all on you
"That's on you"? 🤣 She isn't complaining. She is simply sharing the cost of the trip. Why can't you people pay attention?
Load More Replies...That's nothing. I've seen families easily spend $4-5,000 for a three day ski vacation. Easily.. And that's without buying new gear, just lodging, tickets, lessons and food and beverages. Buy the kids new ski gear and the wife a couple cute outfits and you could easily double that number. Easy. That said, I spent just over $4000 last Fall for 42 days in Europe (London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Athens, and Lisbon). To each their own...
My parents and I would go to all the theme parks/museums on days where they had deals or in the off season. Sometimes it's 1/4 to half the price.
We picked a time that was less busy to go to disney..granted this was like 9yrs ago n we didn't go to Universal (just magic Kingdom n epcot) but lines weren't bad at all. Travel agent n package is what we did got some meals included etc bc we had to PLAN n BUDGET that's what normal ppl usually do when u take a trip like that!! it was significantly cheaper that way. I mean if u can just up n leave a country for a trip without any knowledge of costs etc then why are u crying about 1000 bucks or so lol u clearly aren't hurting for $$..guess I'm confused here
Theme Parks costs are getting way out of hand. This one is no exception. The food is more or less in line with other parks and I understand paying a premium for food inside the park. As others have pointed out there are ways around that. Also pointed out, the fast passes are optional... But are they? Theme parks purposely allow way too many people into the park, to the point you are standing in line all day. Honestly I stopped going to parks for this reason. It's just not fun any more. You have to buy the fast passes to have any hope of having a good time, further padding the theme park profits. We had a similar experience (no fast passes) at Disneyland several years back and we've not been back since. It was seriously one of my favorite places at one time and in fact we had season passes for years. Not worth it any longer.
Three things: 1) Universal and Disney are *always* insanely expensive, from parking to tickets to food to souvenirs. Always. 2) Florida is insanely expensive. They don’t have state income tax, so that ends up in sales taxes and the cost of food being higher. (Lived there for a bit.) 3) The US is in the midst of an inflation crisis. Everything is more expensive.
That’s good value. Family of four, eating, souvenirs, and with fast passes in the middle of the busiest time 👍
Universal Studios will absolutely break you and your wallet. It is ridiculous how everything is so expensive. I was at US Florida in June with my family and we got the express passes simply because it was too damn hot to wait in those long lines. I got in almost 20,000 steps that day LOL
Idc how fancy the park is or how cool or fun the rides are, paying more then $1000 is absolutely ridiculous. Hell even paying 500 is ridiculous...

This has nothing to do with the topic of cost of living. You don't need a trip to Universal to live. You need food, water, electricity, petrol etc. that many people out there cannot afford anymore. Stop rubbing your privilege in our faces, 90%of people on this planet will never be able to afford to go to Universal.
Am I the only person that noticed all the receipts had only 3 meals, but there are 2 adults and 2 kids. Are the 2 boys sharing a burger?
Would make sense. When our kids were younger, our 2 daughters would just share an adult meal as they both didn't eat much separately and kids meals at some places are a joke or nonexistent.
Load More Replies...More fool you for spending that. Take a packed lunch and maybe have an evening meal there. Skip merchandise, could be bought anywhere or at least similar I'd imagine. And breakfast before you go !!!! Tickets are extortionate enough
Did you read the article? They had breakfast & dinner at fast food joints outside of the park, and those places do NOT allow you to bring in your own food.

I mean, no one forced their clumsy kid to spill their $19 drink around, no one made them buy a ridiculous $42 journal and or tons of in park food? What a bunch of saps, playing right into old Walt's frozen racist fingers.
I've been there and you can have a great time and even buy a nice souvenir without spending all that crazy amount of money.
Load More Replies...To me, it was over ages ago. The people who have dragged it out over almost three years is ridiculous. So much waste has come about because of it. People's ability to be scared about the wrong things has become apparent recently. For instance, being on your phone driving your vehicle solo is not going to be helped by the mask you have on. I've almost been hit by 4 idiots wearing masks alone in their vehicles. 2 were on phones and 2 were just stupid drivers.
Load More Replies...Food and beverages wasn't bad.
