When you're a kid, you don't have every answer in the world. OK, nobody has, but the little ones are especially oblivious to the stuff that's happening around them. So they "invent" explanations. Like, the reason ostriches bury their head in the sand is because they're afraid. Or a goldfish's memory lasts only 3 seconds. Yes, these "facts" are perfect examples of how rich a child's imagination is but they're also incorrect. So, in order to educate his followers, TikTok user Mndiaye_97 has released a series of videos where he exposes all the animal myths we believe as kids. Thanks to the guy's charisma, the videos came out just as entertaining as they're educational. But before you continue, I have a warning: YOUR LIFE WAS A LIE. Happy scrolling!

Interestingly, Milan Kubiatko of J. E. Purkyne University, Faculty of Science, and Pavol Prokop of Comenius University in Bratislava have analyzed this subject on an academic level. In 2007, they published a paper, called "Pupils' misconceptions about mammals" and presented quite a few intriguing findings.
Focusing on children aged 10 to 15, they developed a questionnaire with 35 multiple choice and open-ended questions. The researchers then handed out these questionnaires to 468 children from 6 elementary schools in Slovakia, Europe.
They don't. Even if they did, we wouldn't know because there isn't a machine big enough to scan their brains. We've killed thousands of them and after years of generational trauma they really don't see us as cute.
"The children's ideas were examined in five dimensions (animal classification and phylogeny; food; foraging strategies; parental care; senses, morphology, and anatomy)," Kubiatko and Prokop wrote, adding that they found "serious misconceptions" about mammals across all age groups.
For example, the majority of the children incorrectly thought that dinosaurs were closely related to mammoths (51%) and whales (8%) rather than birds (41%). And only 47.4% of the children surveyed knew that lions usually hunt in groups.
Not a joke, carrots are considered a treat due to the sugar content and not to be given too much. Better to feed them grass, hay and green leafy veg.

Sadly a lot of rabbits are not properly fed, this leads to a lot of diseases and deaths. My rescue rabbit had her front teeth removed because she was fed only with pellets growing up and could not be able to recover proper teeth, and the other teefies were really bad too. Now she eat high quality hay and a lot of wild plants and greens and she's now OK. She even have a neon to fix Vit D to have good teeth since she don't go outside. Sadly rabbits are often neglegted.
My daughter got a rabbit that was by the vet's estimation about 3 years old. He told us at the time, he should live to be 8 or 9. Told us what to feed him. Not carrots, except for treats. We also built him an enormous enclosure that took up almost an entire room. We kept him inside. My daughter got him grass, and a good quality rabbit food. He lived to be 17. He just passed away last year. He was truly the energizer bunny. The only real mistake we made was not to get him a friend. I understand they do better with friends. But he seemed incredibly happy. He was doted on.

Rabbits won't even EAT carrots. But they DO like carrot PLANTS. The green part. They were known for ruining crops, and Bugs Bunny needed something like a microphone and/or a cigar to look like a stand-up comic.
100% correct. Better feed them the leaves (? the green planty part, lacking a word here... sorry) of the carrot.
I gave my bunny too many carrots once and her pee was very orange. Gave me quite the scare and we learned our lesson!
a roommate of mine few years ago used to keep rabbits. one day she was hospitalized and asked me if I could help buy some carrots for her rabbits, and nothing else. I asked 'are you just feeding them carrots these whole times?', and she said yes. no wonder none of the rabbits she owned before lived over a few months. she did told me 'but in tv rabbits eat carrots!'. I bought the rabbits some actual rabbit food instead but they it was too late for them, they died a few days after she got discharged, and I'm sure she's blaming me for it because I don't do as she said.
Blame Warner Bros. Bugs was just a product of someone's imagination.

As a rabbit owner, I can confirm that this is true. They should eat hay and greens for the most part

I did sus this one out pretty early in life lol. Cultivated carrots don't really exist in the wild so how do they eat them?
Wild carrots are excellents for rabbits, they eat it and adore it, but asually they don't eat the roots but the plant. I get some on my walks for my rabbit but you have to be careful since it could be confused with hemlock.
Load More Replies... In France lots of pet stores sell trash food for rabbits and rodents and don't give good advice about how to feed them properly. Rabbits eat grass and in winter, they eat bush bark. Everything else should be considered carefully.
Lettuce doesn't have a lot of nutritional value for rabbits and too much can cause digestion issues so not really worth feeding it to them. But yes darker greens are best.

They don't necessarily have better eyesight than us. It's just different. In some areas their's are better than ours, like during the dark hours but our vision is sharper etc. Also not all bats have the same type of vision.

They don't, it depends on height they fall from. The higher they fall the less injuries they get.
Not really, the statistic behind this urban myth has been thoroughly debunked. The injuries were only measured from the cats that survived the fall. Most cats that had falls from a greater height were killed outright, leaving a few lucky survivors that had soft landings to skew the results.
