He's got it wrong here. Poltergeists just love it when people are depressed and weary. If you really want to get rid of a poltergeist you must put a grain of salt in each corner of the room where the poltergeist resides. Because poltergeist don't like to take things with a grain of salt, the poltergeist will leave.
