Woman Posts Pics Of Her ‘Slashed Tire’ On Twitter, But Someone Quickly Proves She’s Lying And It’s Hilarious
3.6Mviews
Nothing ruins your day like finding slashed tires on your vehicle. And then finding out that it wasn’t actually slashed, it just gave up on life because you refused to change it. And then continuing to say it was cut anyway.
Conservative activist and chronic attention seeker Laura Loomer recently took to Twitter to inform the world that a dry, rotting car tire on her jeep had been savagely brutalized. That’s right. Someone was mad enough at her to leave a slashed tire, but not all of them – just one, multiple times. It’s a harrowing story, except for the fact that Laura’s bluff was humiliatingly busted by one car-savvy commentator, which unleashed a relentless stream of car memes, spin-off Twitter accounts for the fallen tire, and even a fake GoFundMe page that showed Laura supposedly raising cash for a new tire AND car (which, sadly, has now been taken down).
Poor Laura tried to recover her pride, but alas, she only fueled the fire. She may have failed at creating a publicity stunt this time, but at least the rest of us learned an important lesson from it all – don’t drive on tires from 2006. Just don’t do it. Find out what went down below, and tell us what you think about #tiregate in the comments!
A conservative political activist named Laura Loomer recently made a shocking discovery
One Twitter user, however, decided to look a little closer…
Michelin even stepped in to back it all up
Laura got a little cross that people were being mean to her tire, and decided to bite back
It was too late, though, as the floodgate of memes had already opened wide
Someone even created a GoFundMe page in loving memory of the unfortunate tire…
Which Laura was quick to politely refuse
Someone else went drop-dead savage and updated her Wikipedia page – read the last sentence
Trying to salvage the last of her pride, Laura posted documents that supposedly confirmed her ordeal…
But even that fell apart, as it appears to be her handwriting on both reports (oops!)
Now that you’re up to speed on #tiregate, let us know what you think in the comments below!

I think she was just too "tired" to think logically
Probably a combination of things. Having been a James O'Keefe disciple, she is used to confrontations. But mostly she is like the overwhelming majority of women, and the majority of males: they have little, or no, mechanical aptitude at all. Anybody unable to see what caused the wear and tear on a tire like that, is also blind to curbs too. :D
John L. I too might think someone slashed my tire at first. But when a more knowledgeable person pointed out the truth, I think my reaction would be relief that I wasn't the target of a slasher. Someone who wants to believe she is under attack by a tire slasher? Paranoid. Sick. Or just messed up priorities. Hope she takes the time to learn to change her tires so she doesn't have a blowout on the road and cause an accident.
You don't have to be a certified mechanic to see what was wrong with those tires. Christ, Ray Charles could see the are old, worn, and dried out.
Rude much?!? I know my truck! I have serviced it myself for many years and it runs way better than my husbands' THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
People like you are why people like me (with vagina) have to work so hard just to get accepted into an auto class...I got one of the two female spots in my class...and guess what. They put me to work removing old decals and bending metal even though I had worked on cars since before I was potty trained. Bull crap. If you ever wonder why a girl can't do it...remind yourself that people like you are in the way. You cause it.
Might have been a good idea to shrink the post in the following way: mostly she is like the overwhelming majority of men and women, who have no mechanical aptitude at all. Seems many people don’t connect that you included men (males) in with the mechanically challenged because it was too far away from the women (females). It is a shame that more men and women don’t learn the basics of car maintainance and that leaves them at the mercy of mechanics or they end up driving their cars into the ground. Always grateful that my husband is a trained mechanic and he insisted that all his kids know how to safely maintain their cars... for women it can be a lifesaving skill. The less likely you are to break down at night, the less likely you are to be a victim of opportunity.

*needs to get a better grip of the situation, her arguments have no traction
You win the Internet.
Ride a tricycle, and you'll never get "two tired"...unless of course, you never replace your tires and they go flat (aka slashed)
Yes, wheely tired I expect
Putting this woman's name and "logic" in the same sentence is hilarious.
Yes, wheely tired
Good one!
I love you.

As we say here: Lies have short legs :)
We have the same saying in Bulgaria.
Isn't that the truth! So, you're a SciFi fan, eh? I've been one since I was a kid growing up in the 50s. I'm an H.Beam Piper disciple, among others. Have you ever read any Piper before? :D
Fuzzies!
Lies have slashed tire! - I'm the first one who invented this but don't credit me, credit Laura.
and flat tires
She's not too bright (to put it up mildly) and she clearly doesn't have any sense of humor. But more people like her should exist nowadays in order to entertain all the bored pandas there. Because people who are not amusing or stupid-looking on purpose are the funniest of all! ;)
LOL!, I like that last sentence Zori. You have a gift for words. :D
Thank you! :)
You have to feel a little sorry for her, diminished (non-existent) I.Q. and all.
There is more than that here. There is a need to be wounded bc that gives her power.
