This Guy Proved That You Can Go To The Graduation Ceremony Without Even Attending College

If you don’t want to go to college but you still would like to attend a graduation ceremony we have good news for you. According to a comedian and a college drop-out Jaron Myers, it’s not that hard to do it.

Jaron got the idea of sneaking into a graduation ceremony from his friends. “My friends just say wouldn’t it be really funny if someone does this,” he said to KTTS Morning Show. So, one Friday morning he thought to himself “I think I can pull that off”. The first thing he did was getting a cap and a gown at the bookstore for $38. After seeing his friends posting photos of their name cards, he realized he needs one too, in order to get his name called during a ceremony. So, he photoshopped one, printed it out and just went to the graduation. Jaron believed that he’s not even going to make it to the arena “Every step of the way I thought I am getting caught” he said in an interview. However, the odds were in his favor. “Before I knew it, I was on the floor and at that point, I couldn’t back out. So I just went through it”.

After seeing everyone holding card stocks with their names, Jaron’s stress level went up. “Everyone’s got it and I’m just with a flimsy piece of paper”. However, no one seemed to be bothered by his printer paper at all. “So I walked out there, grabbed the diploma, shooked the hand, and took the picture”.

The comedian was surprised that he made it “I am still in shock that we pulled it off”. However, after a few people got offended by this prank, Jaron rushed to explain himself “I want to make it clear that I have zero disrespect towards anybody who actually did the work and got a degree. I hope this doesn’t take away at all from the work they’ve done.”

Just one question...how did you get the diploma with your name on it? It's not like they hand out generic diplomas. If I missed that part, someone please fill me in.

During the ceremony, you don't receive your actual diploma that has your name on it. The rolled up papers or certificates are just a stand-in to represent the diploma. You get your actual official diploma later, generally mailed to you. Without records on file at the school, he would not have received an official diploma.

I don't get why everyone is so salty. like, yeah, this is a prank. No, he didn't hurt anyone. Did he offend anyone who worked to get the degree? Probably not because he didn't even get an official diploma in the first place. It's not like he got all the rewards with no effort.

He decided to get his fake degree from Missouri State? This is why you go to college! To avoid making these kind of poor life choices

I'm proud of my degree, I put myself through school. Nobody paid my tuition but me. Took me 10 years to get a four year degree because I worked and went to school. And when I was finished, I did not owe any money.

Thats what Im doing now. Except Im going to a 2 yr first because then I can get a job that pays better than regular jobs that dont require any degree so it'll be easier to get a 4 yr one. Plus I'll only have 2 additional years since my tech school's credits transfer perfectly into the uni I want to go to.

My only problem is with his apology. Too many comedians apologize for things they do not feel they did wrong, which is wrong. If you aren't sorry, don't say you're sorry. It was hilarious, so own it!

First two years of college is just a money grab, forcing you to take pre-requisites that have nothing to do with your concentration of study.

I understand many people cannot go to college for many reasons but man... his response is dumb. Of course you don't have to go to and graduate with a higher ed degree, but it's not fair to people who have worked their a*s off to earn a diploma of any kind when you cheat and get the pomp and circumstance and respect you did not earn.

Prank? Why? It's not funny. You aren't proving anything. Your just crashing someone else party. Whether he meant offense or not, it is still disrespectful . I just don't get it.

Disrespectful how? Explain. Be specific. If you were offended by this, then the real world will not be kind to you, haha.

Everyone gets individual degrees but for larger schools sometimes they don't read them all or give them out at the ceremony.

I hope everyone that ever responds to a joke with "I'm literally dying" literally dies. The literal meaning of the word "literal" might get restored that way.

Conceptually funny. But, he didn't earn it. Had he been sitting next to me I would've kicked him in the nuts. I don't know what the stats are now, but when I finished School, one in seven of the adult population were college graduates. One in 13 had graduate degrees. I would've liked it more if he would've saved his sneaking in to something skills for a ball game.

Dumbass. This wasn't about whether he "worked as hard" in life. He didn't work at all at THE COLLEGE GRADUATION HE CRASHED SURROUNDED BY THOSE WHO WORKED HARD TO EARN THAT DEGREE.
