DIY Fairy House

Creative Mom has made an enchanting fairy house using her imagination instead of expensive materials or tools. This luminous masterpiece consists of plastic Coca-Cola bottles, tin foil, hot glue, and paper clay. “This is a great way to teach children about recycling and also stimulate their creativity and imagination,” said the creator. To paint the exterior, Creative Mom used watercolor and acrylic paint. “I like working in layers and being able to change [the appearance] if I don’t like the way it looks.” It turns out, not only broken pots can be recycled into magical little structures!

Cool. So all I need is three plastic bottles, some foil, clay, glue gun, knife, pokey thing, paint, degree in art and talent....(goes to poundland and buys plastic c**p for kids again).
Wow awesome! Artistic types make it look easy, mine would probably come out like a colourful turd lol.
the first few seconds, everyone thinks "what's this c**p?" at the end of the video people are "oh. never mind!."
You've got more creativity in your pinkie than I do in my entire body. Great job.
Brilliant. This is so doable too (not necessarily being able to make it this pretty)
Waiting for mine to dry now so I can sand it around the edges etc. Got some fake plants, rocks and gravel. Cant wait to paint it :D ( the stuffed bird is from my great-grandmother after it met their window in the late 80s for those who wish to know :U ) IMG_201710...6db8f7.jpg
step 1: got bottles and clay. step 2: remembered that i have 0 talent, step 3: throw the bottles and the clay to the garbage, step 4: got one from ebay... ty for the idea and the beautiful video!
Wow! That's SO good! Do you sell those? Cause if you do, then please, name the $$$!
If you have nothing nice to say, then shut your mouth/keyboard!
Load More Replies...Oh yes, only if I was as artistic and creative as you ;( my daughter would love this.
I'm pretty sure mine would end up in one of those "nailed it" pictures ;)
Can anyone explain this paper clay thing to me they mention? It looks really cool and I don't think I've ever seen anything of the sorts here.
it's clay with cellulose fibres added, that way it doesn't shrink as much as it dries (or is fired)
Load More Replies...It's easy when you're practiced. Same for nearly everything really.
Load More Replies...It looks stunning. Not many people can do such a lovely thing :)
Clever :) Personally I would change the lights for something like some colour changing ones, think that would be a bit more magical than just plain white.
Are you insinuating that she is somehow wasting her time? Is there something else she should be doing? Tell me this, how much TV do you watch?
