German Real-Life Rapunzel Hasn’t Cut Her Hair In 15 Years And It’s Now 3 Inches Longer Than She Is
31-year-old Stefanie Classen is dubbed the real-life German Rapunzel. It’s not like she needs to actually let it down the castle so that the charming prince could climb it, but she has definitely the dream hair of many little girls that attracts lots of attention. At an incredible length of 5 ft 9 in, her hair is three inches longer than she is. Stefanie started her fascinating hair journey at 16 years old and has not seen a hairdresser in 15 years.
Sharing her journey with 2,000 followers on Instagram, Classen has no plans on cutting her hair any time soon. On the contrary, she has a crazy dream of reaching 2 meters (6 ft 6 in) before settling at her ultimate goal—floor-length. As her currently ankle-length hair has been growing extremely steadily (about 1 cm a month), she might expect to wipe the floor with it in a heartbeat!
What do you think about Stefanie’s luscious blond locks? Let us know in the comments!

I'm sorry, but I have to say... it's not pretty. The hair I mean. The shorter version looked much more better, stronger hair. Such a thin hair. This lenht is too much. I just don't find it nice. But hey, it's just my opinion. I hope she is happy with it. :)
The weight looks painful, and that has to be a maintenance nightmare. If it makes her happy, good for her. But yikes.
She hasn't had a haircut in 15 years... is it just not possible for her to get split ends?!
Lot of split ends are caused by blunt scissors. Others by friction (wear and tear). As her ends are not constantly scraping across her back and would just tick against her legs there is actually less friction. Also many woman who do this actually do cut their hair but cut out just the split ends. And of course genetics play a role. One tip for all: avoid hair products with silicone if you even occassionaly use heat stylers. They harden the traces of silicone left and cause breakage.

it has to drape over the top of her head and her shoulders, which will make it seem shorter than it is when measured from scalp to end while completely straight.
Load More Replies...Sorry if this sounds harsh, but the ends of the hair look very unhealthy and thin. If she really wants to have floor length hair by 2022, I'd suggest cutting it back and getting rid of the too thin, broken ends. Like, cutting it off at about the height of the backs of her knees. Then let it grow again and watch out for the ends. I had really long hair way past my waist for years and keeping the hair healthy is more important than "OMG NO EVERY INCH COUNTSSSS!"
My hair is pretty long, but no where near this and it’s a job washing/combing my hair. I can’t imagine the job it is for her
MIne's waist length and that's enough of a pain to wash and dry, can't imagine it touching the floor lol.
My hair is almost to my waist, and it's golden blonde; This is what I aspire to be lmao. Going for Rapunzel at my senior Halloween football game
I started singing Rapunzel songs after reading this!!!

Your hair is very beautiful, Miss Classen. A woman's hair is her crowning glory, and it does make us unique, yes? I myself have not had my hair cut since summer of 2011. My hair is now just past my bum (See pic) and I'm thinking of letting it grow down to my knees. Classic-le...a05385.jpg
i could never have my hair that long. i have been growing it out but i got annoyed by it so i am cutting it all off soon
My hair is to my shoulders almost. I'm ready to chop it off. I could not imagine the time she spends on washing her hair. Her life must revolve around her hair.
Formal word of advice: Don't go in open-roof cars with sticky-outy wheels.
I am jealous! My hair peters out at mid waist and won't grow any further. Then I had to give it a Covid chop and its sitting at chin length. What gorgeous hair!!
I'm sure she washes her hair.....why is it dirty to you?
