129 Heartwarming Photos Proving That Your Kids Need A Pet
Every kid needs a pet. A pet provides companionship, but did you know that there are other good reasons for letting your child have an animal friend?
According to parenting.com, pets also help kids with learning, they encourage nurturing, keep kids healthy, and build up family bonds. This is on top of them providing comfort and giving shy children something to talk about with others.
This list features some of the cutest kid-and-pet pictures around. Does your family have any pets? Upload a picture of your children hanging out with your pet below, or upvote your favorite!

I find this photograph mesmerising. I have seen it for a few weeks now and it blows me away every time.
This is poetic if you think about the fact that someday the roles will be reversed, and the grown child will later look after and take care of his dog. I'm not crying, you're crying.
Maybe if I knew the dog I could relax while looking at this pic. As it is, it scares me. Sorry, dog lovers.
I love this photograph. The cat is so relaxed with this child; no sign of stress.
Beware the person who tries to go up to this child. We had a collie like this many years ago.
I love that they're exactly the sane height in this! Precious photo.
Mother is a verb. It's something you do, not just who you are. Wishing all the mother's out there - whether your kids have paws or hands/ feet - whether they came through you or were just blessed to have you show up in their lives a very happy Mother's Day!
Gorgeous! What are their names, they look like two cats I had to rehome when my son developed asthma as a younger child (wood Green animal shelter) , I loved them so much.
More than half of these photos are completely unsafe. I am a veterinarian specializing in behavior so pet-child safety is a common issue I have to address. Yes, I realize I'm the 'buzzkill' but I can handle that label to keep children and pets safe.
