16 Stunning Animal Portraits By Andreas Häggkvist To Raise Awareness For Endangered Species
Beautiful art can be both awe-inspiring and intriguing. Some of it even makes us really think about deeper issues. No matter the level of intensity of the piece, great artworks cause most people to stop, if even for just a moment, to have an emotional experience.
This is why Swedish artist Andreas Häggkvist has taken the opportunity to use his art to raise awareness for endangered species. The artwork, along with his captions, creates a powerful and lasting emotion that moves the viewer to action. At least that is what he is hoping for.
”Just as with melodies, visual images stick with us more than just words. Using the power that art contains, there really is an opportunity for an artist to make a movement for an important cause" - Andreas says.
Let's hope his art not only brings a smile to your face and makes you feel good, but also makes you stop and think for a moment about what is happening to our planet.

I realize that these are digital but they are just beautiful!
Obviously the artist has a great deal of skill. Some of these are hauntingly beautiful. But does anyone else find some of it a little over done?
It started out incredible and beautiful, but then it's all BABIES, babies everywhere!!! >.>
Beautiful ...but why the babies? They are not endangered by any means...But A for effort?!
It mentions in the article that the captions play an role, but where are yhe csptions BP?
I know this post is from a month ago but I still wanted to comment. These pics are beautiful and i know it’s kinda weird but they would all be awesome as jigsaw puzzles. 500 piece 1000 piece. I know I would purchase one in a instant if there was a option.
If the artist is serious about bringing attention to the endangered animals of the world, he should dignify them by naming them and also by NOT super-imposing "cute" symbols like hearts on their fur. The number one endangered animal on this list is the Amur Leopard, which has LESS than 100 to be found in the wild....a shameful statistic due to human spread which eliminates more and more habitat. The Amur Leopard is part of "the sixth mass extinction" of species which is ongoing now at a much more rapid pace than normal.
i love it...i love scars....and, if it makes people feel better about themselves...i'm all for it. humor and beauty is a good thing.
He has an amazing imagination, with this amount of creativity and a will to continue on, he's going to improve to an outstanding level.
