In 1973, the U.S. Supreme Court issued a landmark decision in which the Court ruled that the Constitution of the United States protects a pregnant woman's liberty to choose to have an abortion without excessive government restriction. But now the Supreme Court wants to turn the U.S. into a dystopian hellscape by overturning abortion rights.

According to the initial draft majority opinion written by Justice Samuel Alito that circulated inside the court, “Roe was egregiously wrong from the start.” The document also stated that “We hold that Roe and Casey must be overruled. It is time to heed the Constitution and return the issue of abortion to the people’s elected representatives.”

The decision, which is expected to go formal in June, will open up the nation’s 31 Republican-controlled states to pass severe or total abortion restrictions. And this did not sit well with people who went into tears watching Elizabeth Warren fuming with anger on Tuesday when she gave her speech.

So they took to the internet to show rage and despair over the American court system that yet again failed its people, especially those at their most vulnerable.

Many people agreed with Warren as they felt rage and despair over the Supreme Court mercilessly failing women and turning the country into a dystopian hellscape

Because these aren't "pro-lifers", they are pro-religion and pro-control. They don't give two shits what happens to the baby after it's born, and certainly not the mother during pregnancy, nor the nearly two decades afterward. I am livid.

And I'm pro-Maria who found out that she was pregnant by suffering from hyperemisis gravidarum for the third time and now had to choose between burdening her existing kids and spouse with that pregnancy again while risking her own life again with a good risk of also removing all remaining mobility in her body and suffering PTSD and post-partum depression again or terminate. That is a legitimate, medical reason to terminate. Even if someone had paid my pregnancy bills, it still would have killed the family, ripped me and my spouse apart toward a divorce and then we'd have an extra life in the mix.

And I'm pro-Aaliyah, who was over the moon to find out she's pregnant and then had doctors tell her the baby has chromosome abnormalities and who has no means to pay for the extensive care the child will need and in her country "good care homes that are free/cheap" for such children do not exist. I am pro-Halina, who found out her baby has a condition that causes them a tremendous amount of pain, 24/7, from the day they will be born till the day they pass away at a very young age

I am pro Laura. She has a extremly risk of complications, ectopic pregnancy and death if she gets pregnant. But at the same time she is denied over and over sterilisation by doctors. She might die horribly if she gets pregnant and the fetus will not come to term. But "pro lifers" dont care.

I'll reply to cowardly Nathan here since he isn't allowing any replies on his post. Smashing a kid's skull against the wall is not the same thing as having an abortion but it does address the problem of people having children when they're not ready. His entire problem is viewing it as killing a baby. Regardless of all the medical literature available, these people view a less than 20 week old fetus the exact same way that they view a fully developed child. If the fetus needs a host in order to survive, it is not the same thing as a baby.

When I was fresh out of nursing school an 8-year-old girl came to my office and tested positive for pregnancy after being raped by her father's friend. The doctor said her body was not developed enough to carry this pregnancy successfully. It would have seriously injured and possibly killed her. Pro lifers don't care about her life.

Jiao, Fatima, Bahiti, Tamar, Memoona, Aqakuktuq, Nahele, Isla, Katarina ... all deserve the same right to choose as the women named in this post. And no one needs to know why they are making the choice - it doesn't matter if they were abused, or if the child has a genetic disorder, or the mother's socio-economic reasons for her choice - it is her choice and hers alone to make.

I'm pro-MyMother who had to choose between carrying a fourth pregnancy (three months after delivering a healthy boy) and leaving her children in the care of an alcoholic father and husband, or getting an abortion because her heart stopped during labor and the doctors tell her this new pregnancy could very well kill her. I’m here for Gina who got caught up in the moment and was irresponsible with another irresponsible flippant person because f**k making anybody go through a pregnancy they’re not ready to deal with. If you think it’s a baby from the point of osmosis, great, awesome. Don’t get an abortion then, nobody is forcing you to go have an abortion. Go with god and have a pleasant f*****g Tuesday. But not everybody believes as you do and forcing Gina to have a baby will not make her decent mother or guarantee that child ends up in safe hands, you’d only be signing on to guarantee more suffering for more people. People close to me already had birth control fail and have a beautiful little boy they can barely afford to care for. Little man is 8 months old and bc has failed again. Because they were given the wrong information, they had to go back 3 days later & can't get an abortion because they heard a heart beat. She was 6 weeks & 2 days along. They are being forced to go out of state for this, not an easy decision, just so they can care for the child they already have. They can't make rent half the time with both of them working, but will have to miss work for this. I AM PRO-CHOICE - THE WOMAN'S CHOICE! What she decides is her business, no one else's. I feel for anyone who has to deal with this

I was a Britany. I am not sorry or ashamed. (Back then you had to walk through pro lifers and protests (and that was in the 90s, nothing really changes). I later became a wife and mother. I am still a, not ashamed. (Side note, ever notice those who want to ban abortion are men?). I live in Texas, where, until only weeks ago I could be arrested for driving someone to end a pregnancy. I told my bestie to keep bail money handy because I would rather be arrested doing the right thing, than attend a funeral for the wrong reasons)

You are missing the whole point-- first, it is a DRAFT-- not yet voted on--2-- the reason Roe V Wade is deemed unconstitutional, has nothing to do with abortion-- rather, just like Brown V Board of Education, it is an example of judges writing law, instead of interpreting it, as is their sworn duty-- The Constitution clearly LIMITS WHAT THE FEDERAL GVT IS PERMITTED TO DO--- this, is, and always has been a states rights issue-- the Fed has no authority to rule on it-- and that is all the decision says.-

You are mixing things up here. I am pro-Rebecca, pro-Susan, pro-Theresa, pro-Vanessa, pro-Cathy, pro-Vanessa and pro-Courtney. But I am also pro-Melissas-baby, pro-Christinas-baby, pro-Jessicas-baby and pro-Lidnsays-baby. If they don't want to risk being a mother, they should not be sexually active, and they are old enough to understand that. I don't know enough on the issue to have an opinion on Emily. Meanwhile, Chief Justice John Roberts says the Supreme Court will investigate the release of a draft opinion that would strike down Roe v. Wade. He called the incident "a singular and egregious breach" of trust. In a statement on Tuesday, Roberts commented: "This was a singular and egregious breach of that trust that is an affront to the Court and the community of public servants who work here. I have directed the Marshal of the Court to launch an investigation into the source of the leak."

Moreover, the court's public affairs office confirmed the document is indeed "authentic." However, the office added that "it does not represent a decision by the Court or the final position of any member on the issues in the case."

One of the first Laws that Nelson Mandela rescinded when he was President of South Africa was the ban on abortion. This from a man who was in prison for 27 years. I do not live in an easy country - murder, assault, rape, rioting, etc - that law is still in power. Young girls as young age as, 12/13, can be given an abortion without parental permission, as they fear reprisal from the toxic masculinity and feminine, too sometimes. Nope - the combined "f**k off", "Not your concern", and "mind your own business" segments should make up 99% of this graph - with the remaining 1% concerning someone else being the doctor having to help make the decision (for medical reasons where the woman wouldn't realise she'd die without it - I had never heard of a septic uterus, for example, so wouldn't be in a position to "choose" abortion unless the doctor advises that were the case)

Yes, Biden needs to step up and do the job he was elected for, not still be telling people they need to vote again to make their feelings known. They already did that and that's why Democrats have the White House, the Senate, and the House right now. He needs to do his damned job, and step up to do the right thing. He needs to kill the filibuster, the electoral college needs to be dissolved, ban corporate political donations, remove lifetime judicial appointments, and every living adult U.S citizen needs to have the right to vote, with no exceptions.

I had a pregnancy terminated because the heart valves were missing on the fetus. It wasn't going to live. I had the nursery all done up and was looking forward to finding out the sex so I could start buying clothes. I was devastated. If I would've carried the baby to term there's a possibility that it could've caused sepsis and I would die. If it didn't I would be giving birth to a dead baby. Now Brett the beer man and Gorsuch seem to think their opinions are more important than women like me and our existence. Fu*k 'em.

I was against many things until one day I realized "hey...that's none of my business. It doesn't affect me at all". Whether or not Sandy down the street gets an abortion has zero impact on my life, but it has a massive impact on Sandy's life, so Sandy should be the only person that gets to decide what to do.
