If you've worked in retail (or read Bored Panda's article on clients from hell) you probably already know that the customer isn't always right. But in order to paint you an accurate picture of the lengths they're prepared to go to satisfy their unreasonable needs, we invite you to take a look at this Twitter thread.

It started when Kayla (@baz00per) shared her worst experience in front of the counter. "Last week, I had a woman yell at me for putting a straw in her soda cup because 'we need to save our oceans' and then proceeded to order a $55 party boat of raw fish because this is a... sushi bar [sic]".

As her tweet was going viral, other users started relating to one another with similar stories, suggesting that some people might need to wear a muzzle in public.

Wouldn't that be awesome! I'd love to operate that printing press. "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies? Definitely ma'm, if you just sit down for a lil while'.

When we were in the US on vacation, my wife once made me drive her to Bed, Bath and Beyond, then walked around the shop and seemed very confused. "I imagined it to look quite different". She actually wanted to go to Bath and Body Works, which fortunately was 2 doors down in the same shopping centre.

Sounds like dementia. Credit cards have been around since 1950, there is no way he could misunderstand how they work.

Never expect logical thinking from customers, they often leave their brain outside of the store

Honestly, this sounds like something my son would say. Not complaining about it or getting mad but, being on the spectrum and having OCD, he would point out that it was indeed longer than stated (same goes for 'we have to make a couple stops before town'. I get the 'a couple is two, we stopped at three places').

And as addition to that, customers would be packing their own groceries as in Netherlands.

The original placing in one bag, sure. But she's the weird one for wanting cheetos not just separately bagged (why can't she just hold them??) but DOUBLE-bagged. Insanity.

Wait. Cheetos and laundry detergent? Do you know how f*****g heavy laundry detergent containers can be? I can well understand her not wanting her Cheetos crushed, but the only thing that probably should’ve been double bagged would be the detergent, since plastic grocery bags are notoriously flimsy.

Why would you put something that is easily crushable (like cheetos) in a bag with something heavy (like a container of detergent)? Would you bag a loaf of bread with a watermelon?

Yes, some of them would! I've had bread put on chicken breast because I wasn't watching. Yuk.

this one i actually understand, when i worked in a grocery store the general rule was to put food items and non-food items in separate bags, just for hygiene's sake.

I don't care where you pack what - honestly, my sealed box of unused tampons aren't going to contaminate my veggies. It's unnecessary plastic.

I use Walmart's curbside pickup. Most times I get multiple bags with only one or two items, and other bags with like 10 cans of soup or 2 gallons of milk.

Well the laundry detergent could have squished the chips. If I was checking myself out, I would have done the same thing. She could have been more polite about it though.

She probably uses them to clean up a pets poop, I save my plastic bags for my neighbor and he uses them to clean out the cat box with

Uh .. putting a heavy bottle of laundry detergent in the same grocery bag with a light bag of Cheetos is DAF. She wanted Cheetos, not Cheeto dust. That's on you.
