“The Stupid Police”: This Page Shares People’s Dumbest Moments Online (40 Pics)

And while it’s our go-to place for connection, news and information, communication and work, people are different and so is the content.
So this time, we’re taking a look at some examples of clueless people sharing questionable arguments, fake news, illogical conspiracies, and anything in between. Thanks to “The Stupid Police”, every little bit of dumbness spotted online gets busted, screenshotted, and shared on their Twitter page.
With 144.1K followers, “The Stupid Police” is dedicated to “posting the most stupid internet moments,” and it’s basically a wall of shame for any post which lacks good judgment and common sense.

Bored Panda reached out to the creator behind The Stupid Police Twitter page, which currently has 145.1K followers. “I was thinking about creating a gimmick account for a while so I went through and tried to think of ideas that haven't been done before,” they told us. “This included cross-referencing viral tweets to find a similarity, looking through subreddits and searching through memes to find common similarities.”
The idea to create The Stupid Police came after its creator found “stupid Yahoo answers questions and stupid old tweets and I realized this was an unclaimed idea.” The instant success of the page can be attributed to the preparation which went before the page was even launched. “I didn't start the account with that, nor have I been posting that type of content because I knew they wouldn't go viral,” the creator said.
What they did instead was compiling “a list of viral-worthy tweets which all went viral, resulting in the blow up of this account.”
When asked if there’s a lot of dumb content surfing around on the internet, the creator of The Stupid Police confirmed that’s exactly the case. “I would say the main reason would be ignorance, but there are also people who want to feel special and do attention-seeking things,” they commented.
I was on a crowded commuter train, standing room only, some idiot was on his cell giving someone his credit card number, including the exp date and CCV code. At the top of his lungs. Lots of people taking notes. 🙄
If she mails the name of her first pet and her mum's maiden name I'll order her a replacement for that one too.
Ok, I 100% understand the stupid behind this, but why is the card from two different banks? One is Chase the other is HSBC.
If someone was using the first one like she said they likely caused it to be way overdrawn and the account would be closed. So she would go to a different bank and open a new account.

I am at a lost for words but... have to say I am thoroughly amused by this lack of common sense.
Had a stupid clerk about 30 years ago refuse my card because it wasn't signed. I took her pen, signed it right in front of her and she took it. I then asked what did that prove? She still has no idea who I am or if the card is mine. She said that gives her a way to ensure the signatures on the card and receipt match. I didn't even try to explain if the card is signed and gets stolen, the finder could learn the signature from the example, that's why banks tell you not to sign the card ( I worked for a bank at the time).
the bank should not deal with any disputes for her from here on

I honestly try to give people the benefit of believing they have trouble typing on the tiny keyboards on their phones, or that auto-correct causes the use of incorrect words, but wow, these are truly on another level.

The real problem is that the stupidest people will probably be the ones who reproduce the most.
Unfortunately I may become as dumb as those people now that i read all this. I think some of my braincells died and then the other braincells ran away.
