Think of the internet as the Wild West. It’s a place to share whatever you think of virtually anything, post things that you want, and engage in stuff that interests you, all in the comfort of your home. And while it’s our go-to place for connection, news and information, communication and work, people are different and so is the content.

So this time, we’re taking a look at some examples of clueless people sharing questionable arguments, fake news, illogical conspiracies, and anything in between. Thanks to “The Stupid Police”, every little bit of dumbness spotted online gets busted, screenshotted, and shared on their Twitter page.

With 144.1K followers, “The Stupid Police” is dedicated to “posting the most stupid internet moments,” and it’s basically a wall of shame for any post which lacks good judgment and common sense.

I work at a facility that makes vaccines and there are people who are refusing to get the COVID vaccine. And a lot of them don't wear their masks properly either.

That's everywhere. And all you have to be concerned about is how you wear your mask.

I work for the state welfare office and all of my coworkers believe every single stereotype about recipients.

I'd be getting a new one asap. If I was in the hospital with that nurse I would politely but firmly request a different nurse.

I am proof that once you have had Covid, your immune system has built up the defense mechanisms to fight off the virus and any variants of the virus. So natural immunity is the best option period. Herd Immunity really works.

I hosted some guests from the US (I knew them distantly and the friend who was supposed to host them was ill so asked me to step in). They didn't believe in modern medicine or vaccinations and they work as pharmacists in the dispensary of a hospital

Most people have a reason for believing that which they do. I tend to take a long deep look at various things, and I feel the way that I do regarding these things based on my findings. I'm absolutely not married to any theory or topic, just that there is potential there for it. I reserve opinion until ALL of the info is in and vetted on any topic. And regardless of the topic, I am aware that there are factors that I am unaware of. I figure that in, and tread with care.

You will never have "ALL" information, this seems like a good way of shrugging off an opinion.

Why in the world wouldn’t you trust the vaccine even after hundreds of millions of people have taken it with no, or minimal, ill effect?? I mean, they’ve been working on it for decades!!

I'm vaccinated but I don't accept the discrimination against the vaccine-hesitant, or lumping them together with wild conspiracists, without knowing their reasoning. I know I'll be downvoted by mobs who need to be right or can't critically evaluate a situation beyond a kneejerk reaction. But... Does anyone remember thalidomide?

Thalidomide is the reason why our testing is so rigorous today because we've seen how bad it is if we din't follow science. COVID-19 vaccines we developed under strict guidelines that makes sure nobody gets hurt.

Let's not pretend vaccine dissent isn't everywhere. Human beings are individuals who have the right to withold their consent if they feel they don't have the information and reassurance they need to make a choice. Bullying people just makes them more likely to dig their heels in.

yeah, maybe YOU are the one that's wrong then, f*****g moron (btw, I am assuming that antivaxxer in this case means sceptical to the experimental rushed covid vaccine, and not vaccines in general. bet Im right)

The vaccine was neither rushed nor experimental. The reason we got it so “fast” was that the government removed all of the waiting normally caused by bureaucratic red tape. The vaccines for corona viruses have been in the works for twenty years.

I'll wait for the lawyer commercials listing all the deaths and damage they do before taking it. Even the most innocuous item can be deadly, Baby powder is one. Chantix has been pulled for containing cancer causing ingredient. So I will not be bullied, shamed, or discriminated against because I won't take the vaccine.

Imagine trusting "lawyer commercials" more than doctors and scientists from across the globe. Just WOW

Bored Panda reached out to the creator behind The Stupid Police Twitter page, which currently has 145.1K followers. “I was thinking about creating a gimmick account for a while so I went through and tried to think of ideas that haven't been done before,” they told us. “This included cross-referencing viral tweets to find a similarity, looking through subreddits and searching through memes to find common similarities.”

The idea to create The Stupid Police came after its creator found “stupid Yahoo answers questions and stupid old tweets and I realized this was an unclaimed idea.” The instant success of the page can be attributed to the preparation which went before the page was even launched. “I didn't start the account with that, nor have I been posting that type of content because I knew they wouldn't go viral,” the creator said.

What they did instead was compiling “a list of viral-worthy tweets which all went viral, resulting in the blow up of this account.”

When asked if there’s a lot of dumb content surfing around on the internet, the creator of The Stupid Police confirmed that’s exactly the case. “I would say the main reason would be ignorance, but there are also people who want to feel special and do attention-seeking things,” they commented.
