When you see the fast fashion giant Zara proudly selling “Dude With Sign” shirts for their summer collection, you know the Dude has gone mainstream. And how couldn’t he? With a whopping 7.5 million followers, New Yorker Seth Phillips has gained a cult following for his truth bombs that protest anything from loud engines, phones that shatter easily, “x” in espresso, and other very specific, small things that add up to our daily lives.

And luckily, there’s always something new to protest against. Like, hot coffee in summer or verifying you’re not a robot. So today, we collected some of the Dude’s most recent signs for y'all dudes and dudettes who have had enough. Of what? Let’s say, just everything.

Psst! More truth bombs from ‘Dude With Sign’ await in our previous posts here, here and here.

Depends on what you mean by "clothes", my dog doesn't need to wear a t-shirt and pants, but he's got very short hair and absolutely needs to wear a jacket in the winter or he'll shiver even while walking.

Stop carrying your dogs around... leash them and let them run. It's better for both of you.

Breeds like chihuahuas shouldn't have been brought into being in the first place, that would have solved the problem. (I know this is gonna be downvoted as unpopular opinion, but *shrug* IDGAF)

For all the people commenting below: I'm pretty certain he's talking about dressing up your dog in little dresses or Halloween costumes, not practical weather gear or a cute little bow tie on its collar. But I always think, you will know if your dog doesn't want to wear it, because it will be destroyed inside 5 seconds flat, so why worry? :)

Some breeds are not weather proof . Single coated dogs do need to wear a sweater when t' cold.

Um some dogs do. Really not an issue unless the dog seems bothered by it.

Some do. I had a Chihuahua that sulked when I took her jacket off. She even liked it on when it was warm.

Both of my dogs are "cold" weenies...desert dogs, they shiver uncontrollably when temps dip below 55. Both mixed rescue dogs, both ridiculously beloved and pampered now. When I say "sweater time", they both line up waiting for their favorite sweaters (and yes, they do have their favorites, which surprised me too). Chihuahua mix and Pit/ Whippet goo grrls

Warm weather dogs should wear a jacket in winter when adopted into a cold weather country. Also, ALL dogs need shoes!!! Weather it be from the hot pavement in summer or the salt for defreezing in winter.

No animal wants to wear clothes. This is why they were born with fur. Clothes are for the owners pleasure, not the animals. If you want to play dress up, get a doll.

Our pitbull goes NUTS when we pull out her sweaters in the winter..in her opinion, we can't get it on her fast enough! This is yet again an example of someone being judgy with only their one sided view of it..as with everything these days...

Actually, many dogs absolutely LOVE wearing a sweater or vest. It keeps them cosey, especially older dogs like my 13 year old pit. She gets so cold, especially in the winter. So a simple sweater or vest makes her potty times more enjoyable. And my younger male likes to wear flannels. Idk why, but he does.

I know it's a joke, but little dogs actually do need something to keep them warm in winter when they go out to pee.

Hey not true. My dog loves her sweater dress. She eagerly puts it on without training and fights me if i try to take it off. Shw even keeps it on if shes wet. She is a weird dog. We only let her wear it in winter and obvi we dont let it dry on her lol

Uhh yes he does. Especially if theres snow. Hes not putting a single toe outside that door without his jacket and not even picking him up and lifting him through is gonna work because the second you put him down hes back inside.

My son's dog loves outfits, he sees my son pick up one of his doggy outfits and he goes crazy and then stands there and let's my 8year old dress him like he's about to do a model shoot. And he will keep it on til my son takes it off. Usually bed time

My nearly nekkid Pitbull-mix HAD to wear some sort of clothing/covering during extreme weather (Yes, she could easily get sunburnt - even the vet recommended it during very cold/very hot weather) - she put up with it because she knew the alternate was feeling rather unpleasant outside.

If the animal is dressed up for the owners 'enjoyment' and /or to garner up votes on such sites as this then it is wrong for them to be dressed. PS - surely this is simple common sense and compassion for the animal and yet its still being debated. It should be a non-negotiable.

Pluto (Pluto Living on YouTube. So cute!) is a senior dog who has difficulty walking on hard flooring. And yes, her nails are kept trimmed. For older dogs there are little socks with non slip markings on the bottom so they don't slip walking on the floor. They help a lot because she can now run around the house safely.

PS I really can't believe that any animal wants to wear clothes. If they bring their jumper etc to the owner it is an unnatural action which the owner had trained into them.

Dude’s stardom started back in 2019 when Seth Philips, also known as the famous Dude holding signs, and Elliot Tabele held up a cardboard sign saying “Stop replying-all to company-wide emails” in New York City’s Soho neighborhood. The shot was initially made to be shared on Tabele’s Instagram account but after his follower count blew up, the duo realized their low-key protests were something the internet went crazy about.

Previously, Seth told Forbes that the signs were inspired by the never-ending list of first-world problems millennials have had enough of. But what made Dude With Sign really popular is just how relatable his truth bombs really were. The signs' universal appeal has amassed Seth a whopping 7.5M followers.

Today, Dude With Sign's influence is indisputable. Just a few days ago, I stumbled across Dude With Sign shirts in the isles of the street fashion giant Zara. The collection of shirts featured a couple of the most popular pics of Dude holding a punny sign.

Meanwhile, during the worldwide pandemic, Seth has collaborated with the World Health Organisation on a series of memes to share accurate information about how to prevent the spread of coronavirus. The series of pics was aimed at those who use Instagram as their news source and they included messages like “Elbow bumps are the new handshakes” and “Just chill. Your friends aren’t doing anything, anyway.” Both fun and lighthearted, Dude’s signs have helped to spread a crucial point at the height of the global health crisis.

I and my entire team can do our jobs 100% from home, but our CEO is obsessed with bringing everyone back into the office, because he loves the 'energy' of having everyone there. The problem is we're short 100+ desks, since the pandemic (we only have desks for half of my team) That's might be OK though, as we're likely going to start losing people soon, who don't want to go back to the office.

In New Zealand we tend to have electric stoves and the elements are different sizes to account for different sized pots and pans. In most of the places I’ve lived, the front left element is bigger than the front right one.

But the entire US credit system is based on the fact that people spend money that they don't have. If you don't spend money you do not have you won't get a credit score and without a credit score you can't get a mortgage or a loan to buy a car.

It is from old English Wōdnesdæg or ‘Odin’s day', after Odin or Woden, the supreme Germanic god. Similar to Dutch woensdag.
