Dubai Starts Building New World’s Tallest Tower, And It Will Take Your Breath Away
36Kviews
What does the country with the tallest building in the world do? It builds an even taller one! Dubai already boasts the magnificent Burj Khalifa, but construction has just started on The Tower at Dubai Creek Harbour. When it’s completed in 2020 it’ll be the new tallest building in the world.
There’s no saying how big it’s going to be yet, but it’ll be taller than 2,700ft (828 metres), which is the height of the Burj Khalifa. Construction is going to cost around $1 billion and the building is scheduled to be completed in time for the Expo 2020 trade fair, which Dubai will be hosting. The architect behind the project is Santiago Calatrava Valls, the man responsible for the World Trade Center PATH Station, and when it’s finished the tower will have a 360 degree observation deck providing breathtaking panoramic views of the city. very very small penis syndrome?
it's just stupid to waste all their money for something that big only to let the world know they're there. it's like when a guy buy a big ass car to show off.
Showing off is important if it want to attract tourists. It works at least.

Nah, its not stupid actually its 21th century, where stupid people gets attracted by BIG things, building that tower may cost 2 billion dollars, not a thing for a billionaire, benefits that this tower can get from tourists could reach as high as 4 billion dollars each year
you have a point, do you know who is funding this? It kinda looks like one of the (7 +) wonders of the world if it is completed, somehow inspired from an aesthetic point of view - pretty**
Actually, you just sound frustrated at governmemt waste which makes sense. I apologize if I offended,, just thought artistically it was, well pretty., very pretty.
*may contain traces of slave blood.
It is racist to dilute the real definition of slavery to Africans that really sufferd under slavery . These people are NOT slaves as they choose to be working there to earn more money than in their home countries. Please stop using this terminology in vain.
