‘Modern Family’ Director Live-Tweeted Story Of The Plane Passenger From Hell, And It’s Too Funny

Some people like a stiff drink before and during a flight. Maybe because it eases the nerves, maybe to take advantage of freebies on board. Or maybe it’s just a tradition to do so. Inevitably, there are going to be people who take it too far and ruin it for the rest of us.

This was the case when Ryan Case, Emmy Award-winning editor of Modern Family, was on board a flight apparently to Las Vegas.

In previous times the obnoxious, drunken passenger from hell would be known only to those unfortunate people around them, and if they really went to town on it, the police. These days however, with social media and even Wi-Fi on the plane, these people are increasingly being named and shamed.

Ryan was so annoyed with the behavior and attitude of Nadia, the ‘worst person in the world,’ she unleashed a lengthy, hilariously worded Twitter-rant which detailed all her transgressions, and eventual downfall. She even got a photo of Naughty Nadia. Scroll down to check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think in the comments!

Modern Family editor Ryan Case was seated behind a drunk passenger on a flight to Vegas and decided to document the whole thing

Actually alcohol helps me during flights because I am afraid of flying. I have a few just to get loose and mellow and im good. I dont get loud and obnoxious though. Just enough to help me through the flight.

Nadia displays classic narcissistic traits: Entitled. Thinks she's better than everyone else. Zero courtesy for others. Invades personal space. Forces sexual touching. Uses derogatory insults. Gets rude and aggressive when confronted about her bad behavior. They are the worst people ever.

You too? I’ve never been on a smooth flight. Crying babies, drunk people, the excessive talker, stinky person, the woman who cut her toenails right beside me, the seat kicker. I’ve been blessed with them all.

Why is it even allowed to drink before or during flights? Or keep on serving when the person clearly has had enough. Some people always seem to get wasted and annoy the other passengers and for some they even have to land at a different airport (or fly back) to drop them off.

There's enough material here for a new, cringing drama about being trapped on a plane with passengers from hell and the struggle against the voice telling you to murder.

I was on a 10hr flight from Qatar to Ireland last September. There was guy two rows ahead of me. I don't think he was drunk but he loved to talk and loudly enough so that others could hear how successful he was. He would laugh in an over the top way so that people could see he was having the best time ever. I don't think the couple next to him were having the best time. He talked to them for the entire trip with barely a breather. They must have been exhausted trying to humour him. He was the type of person that if you even asked for a break from talking you'd be made feel embarrassed for suggesting such a thing. There was no winning. He was a force of nature once he got started. Annoying and scary in a way. I wore my headphones to watch a movie on the flight and I could still hear him.

I just put in earbuds (even if I'm not listening to music), and bury my nose in my Kindle. That usually quells the yappers.

I was on a plane with a drunk girl before. She stank of alcohol already when boardin then kept ordering champagne and wine all throughout the flight. She also went to the loo every few minutes, for which I was grateful. She also didn't stop talking while the plane was on the ground, luckily not with me. It was also only a 3h flight, so it was bearable.

So if i'm trying to hijack the plane and crush it just to make her stfu, can I claim self defense or is still considered hijacking? Or if the majority of the plane votes to throw her out of the plane mid-flight is still self defense or for some absurd reason considered a felony? I mean it's a democracy after all...

Okay, I've seen a good number of tweeting flight stories articles and I've been wondering - shouldn't your phone be on flight mode during flights? I recall there was an article, a few years ago, about phones being the cause of some airplane crashes in America. However, I see these tweeting from flight articles are more and more often and I read some planes offer in-plane wi-fi environment. I also know from experience that it was always demanded you keep all your mobile devices on flight mode, or turned off, during the flight. Maybe these things are allowed on domestic flights only, while forbidden on international ones? Just curious.

There haven't been any cases of cell phone use causing a plane crash. This is a myth/misconception. Also, a lot of the info on this is for older phones, that had pretty big electromagnetic frequencies and could cause interference. Essentially the worry was that a bunch of phones pinging at the same time in a plane could mess up an internal system, like the planes GPS. It's never happened, but it theoretically could, which is why there is airplane mode. But it's important to note that wifi isn't the same as the frequency that phones ping cell towers, either. Also, in-flight wifi works in many International flights. I flew to the US with Emirates a few years ago, and paid for wifi (it was actually really cheap) and I was chatting online to my SO and it was nuts to be able to do that. It wasn't very fast but it worked. I don't think I've had that service in domestic flights.

After living in Saudi, I can say that it's not uncommon for EVERYONE to get on the plane and promptly drink their heads off. Of course most of us were heading to England where drinking is an Olympic sport, so our livers were just so able to treat it like a few sips of gatorade. Clearly she was out of her league. hope that guy's real name was Abdul, because if it wasn't wtf with the bag documenting all this?

So, instead of plugging in your ears with some good music & trying to read a book, you basically spent and wasted your time on a drunk woman who should had been handled by the flight attendants and not served any alcoholic drinks as she was already wasted. Can't decide who doesn't have a life here; you or her. Or me that I myself wasted my time on this post.
