Hungover Guy Wakes Up With A Strange Dog In His Bed, Learns He Adopted Her Last Night

Have you ever done something you regret after a few drinks while out on the town? How about something that turned out well, but looked incredibly strange and irresponsible at first? A tale about a new friendship between a man from Thailand and an adorable dog is going viral on the net. And it started in a very unexpected way.

Yutthaphum Kaewekhem, aka Boom, from Bangkok, went out to have some fun last week and ended up drinking quite a bit of alcohol. The next morning, he woke up and was shocked to see the smiling face of a dog he didn’t know. It turns out, the man found a stray dog outside a restaurant and, while tipsy, decided that it was a ‘good’ idea to bring it back home with him. Don’t worry, Pandas, Boom later checked to see if the dog had any owners and, realizing that she had been abandoned, adopted her. That’s how the stray, Moota, accidentally found its new forever home and got a fun-loving owner.

Remember, Pandas, owning a dog is a huge responsibility. Boom and Moota’s story had a happy ending, but things could have ended up badly. Remember not to drink and ‘dognap.’

The story was incredibly popular in Thailand and made a lot of people laugh and smile after one of Boom’s friends recorded a series of videos of the man trying to ‘dognap’ the stray. (Don’t worry, Boom wasn’t behind the wheel of the car.)

Later, Boom went back to the restaurant and asked around if somebody had lost their dog; he didn’t want to be accused of dognapping somebody else’s pet. However, it turned out to be a stray that was abandoned.

Now sober, Boom announced that he decided to adopt the friendly dog. He got her a collar and some dog food, washed away its dirt with a garden hose, and later took it to the vet for a checkup.

Boom seems to enjoy taking photos of his new best friend who isn’t averse to the idea of wearing sunglasses. The dog also appears to have a particular fondness for cartoons.

Get yourself a man who will accidentally kidnap a dog while drunk but actually keep him when sober.

Moota probably still can’t believe her great good luck in accepting Boom’s invitation. After who knows how long trying to survive on the street —-and not all humans are nice—-she got to ride in a car, got to sleep in a safe warm bed, got a bath, got a vet visit, got proper food, and got a dad who obviously adores her. I bet she now sleeps deeply and happily, with a full belly, a soft bed, and a real home with her dad.

A few years ago I got drunk in Melbourne and woke up next to an adorable fluffy little rabbit! It was a stuffed toy I'd bought in Chinatown on my way back to the hostel. I named her Violet and now I always take her with me when I go to the bar because she's my Drinking Bunny. 😛

Yeah, that’s what you do if you don’t want to get bitten by a strange dog and you have no idea how he reacts to being prodded and examined...

Dog looks quite healthy for a "stray", and observations aren't 100% if you're drunk. In the same way as drunken people adopt "stray" garden ornaments...

The dog wasn't initially a stray, the post states that he found out that the dog had been abandoned...meaning she WAS owned, but the owners left her behind and she was living in the streets because of it. Easily explains why she was not a mite-covered, starving mess.
