I’ve always had a passion for art growing up. Anything creative really. I found my passion a few years back with pen and ink. I enjoy stippling as a relaxing hobby. I’m a graphic designer by day, fine artist by night. Each dot has it’s place. It’s fun connecting the dots and seeing your artwork come to life. I begin by sketching the drawing in pencil, then begin my sewing machine like dotting. Dot, dot, dot – you can hear each tiny spot of ink hit the paper. A 5×7 print takes approx. 3-4 hours to complete. It’s a time consuming and detailed art, but very rewarding. Adding the tiniest detail to your design is the fun part. Like the fuzzy hair on my cat illustrations. You just have to be careful. With pen and ink, there is little room for mistake. Once the dot hits the paper – that’s where she stays! Thanks!! Yeah, usually I sketch out the idea and then begin the dots. I just finished a nautical collection. I was actually drawing for my bathroom!
