This clearly has brought out the vitriol in people as BP surely knew it would. What a LOT of people don't seem to get is that it IS in humor. The snap is obviously a quick shot of the pope and Trump....a moment unsmiling. The point of this post is the REACTION and humor that it's creating. Why are so many people not understanding that it's not the "unsmiling pope next to Trump" that we need to be reacting to here on BP? This forum is a light hearted spot for other things it seems. Not defending Trump by any means, but the Time photographer who took this picture wrote a short piece putting this photo into context. He explained how they had 30 sec to get a shot at this time with everyone jostling for the perfect position. He showed other photos of them both smiling as well as photos of Obama's visits where the Pope was not smiling.
