Donald Trump won more than 71 million votes, the second-highest total in American history. Nationally, he has more than a 47% share of his vote and has an extraordinary hold over large swathes of this country that has brought a near cult-like devotion among many of his supporters. But he still lost the election to Joe Biden. This defeat makes Trump one of only four incumbents in the modern era not to get another four years. He also has become the first president to lose the popular vote in consecutive US elections.
He refused to accept the result, accusing media outlets that called the race for Joe Biden of colluding with the president-elect in trying to steal the White House. The voters, however, did not. Everyone from celebrities to Internet meme pages has been sharing their reactions to the race both in the streets and online, and many of these thoughts are definitely worthwhile. Right? Teachers know just how you feel. Not once during the lockdown in the spring did Betsy DeVos express any empathy for turning on a dime from onsite instruction to being on computers instead. Not to mention the overwhelming sense of loss from not seeing the faces of the kids who make our jobs worth it. She insisted we needed to be in school while people were getting sick and dying all around us, and then got truly snarky and told us not to expect to bypass the high-stakes testing that adds nothing to education. The relief in realizing that she will have no influence on public education again ever is extraordinarily satisfying.

I still cannot fathom how there have been over 238K deaths from Covid-19 in the United States and some disillusion people voted for a stale Cheeto (aka Donald Trump, the ex-president) who openly mocked scientists, laughed at people wearing masks, did nothing to prevent the spread of the disease, and showed absolutely no empathy as people in his nation died. It is just plain terrifying. I am so thankful that the United States has voted for a new president that believes in science and values healthcare-workers.

I still cannot fathom how there have been over 238K deaths from C-19 in the United States, and people still voted for a stale Cheeto who only cares about himself, doesn't believe in science, and laughed outright at people who wore masks. It is not only mind-boggling, it is outright terrifying. I am thankful that President Biden has already put together a C-19 task force and values science, believes in climate changes, and cares for healthcare workers.
Because there are many who have no healthcare, and would rather die at home then put their family in medical debt. That is my plan unless we are able to set up a go fund me if me and my hubs catch it so we don't have our medical debt hanging over our kids lives to pay off.

Biden's Covid task force does not include even ONE toadie, one donor, or ANY family members. It's all doctors and researchers and scientists. I could just about cry writing that. And that should shut up all the people believing scummy Repub lies about Joe using his influence to aid his son.
For me, it's like turning on a light and watching all the roaches scatter back into the woodwork. Having sanity and dignity returned to the country and WH is such a relief. If this is how the cheeto behaved in an election year, imagine the idiocy that would have happened if he knew re-election wasn't on the table? He would have done damage that would have either been irreparable or taken years to recover from.
