Trump ‘Calls Out’ London Mayor Over Stabbings In The City, So Someone Compares It To US Statistics

U.S. President Donald Trump has once more fired shots at the London Mayor, Sadiq Khan, in the wake of five attacks in the city that left three men dead and three others injured in the space of 24 hours. The president has had a long-standing feud with the mayor and took the weekend-violence as an opportunity to share his disdain yet again on Twitter.
Trump retweeted right-wing commentator Katie Hopkins, who referred to the capital as ‘Stab-City’ and called for his replacement. Labour leader Jeremy Corbyn said it was “absolutely awful” Mr. Trump was using the “tragedy of people being murdered to attack the mayor.” In response to his attack on Khan, many media outlets pointed out that before the president judged London, he should take a look at his own backyard – as statistics show that violence in U.S. cities far exceed London.

According to British media, police made 14 arrests after five separate attacks in London left three men dead and three others injured in the space of 24 hours. These three deaths take the total number of homicides in London in 2019 to 56. Official data shows that this time last year, there had been 82 deaths – and 2018 took the record as the worst year for the city in a decade.

Following the attack on London Bridge and Borough Market in 2017, the U.S. president tweeted out: “Pathetic excuse by London Mayor Sadiq Khan who had to think fast on his “no reason to be alarmed” statement. MSM [mainstream media] is working hard to sell it!” To which Mr Khan responded that he would not allow Mr. Trump to “divide our communities”.

And in July last year, President Trump said Mr Khan had “done a very bad job on terrorism.” The mayor refused to engage and said he would not rise to Donald Trump’s “beastly” accusation that he had done “a terrible job.”

“Violent crime has no place in our city, and there’s no higher priority for me than Londoners’ safety,” tweeted out the London mayor. His spokesman told the BBC the mayor’s thoughts were with the victims’ families and he “is not going to waste his time responding to this sort of tweet.”
While Khan chose to take the high road, reporters pointed out that the violence in London came nowhere close to that seen in U.S. cities

Sometimes I have to wonder how anyone can be this stupid, let alone be this stupid and be elected president. 2020 can't come soon enough.
Unfortunately, there are many people equally dumb if not worse behind this dumbass. They need to be addressed as well, lest we get someone as dumb...or even worse, as president. Imagine if Trump were this cruel AND of average intelligence.
It is important to remember that Trump can't count past 3. It goes 1, 2, a lot.

Are we forgetting that Trump's tweet and the following rebuttals have NOTHING to do with Trump or his Administration? Those cities that are crazy high murder rates.... were like that prior to 2016. Not only that, but they are cities that are controlled by Democrats. So when you say that 2020 cant come soon enough... what exactly do you mean by that? Do you mean that those cities with high murder rates should vote in Republicans that will enact the policies of cities with much lower crimes? Or are you just an "Orange man bad" sheep? The moment you realize "the world's most powerful man" is nothing but a frickin' internet-bully. How the hell do Americans approve of this bigmouth-orange-twat?
We DON"T..at least the majority of us..it's the die-hard idiots that are stinking up our ship.

We don't. Clinton got a lot more votes, but our electoral college system is biased. It give more power to states with small populations.
It's mostly the all or nothing of Electoral votes that screws it up. If Electoral votes were divvied out according to the % of votes in each respective state it'd be much less likely to have situations where a President is elected with minority support. It'd probably do wonders for voter turnout in non-swing states. You could also try to have your elections on the weekend or make election day a national holiday.
Most of us don't. The rest hope to become Russians.

That is NOT what bullying is. It's insulting him and quite frankly when the person is as rude and as nasty asTrump then the only person to blame IS Trump.
This makes me so angry. Not only that the USA elected an incompetent Cheeto for president and many follow him like blind sheep, but also that he is trying to start fights all the time. He insulted someone else IN THE SAME THREAD. STOP. Also instead of arguing about whose crime/violence rates are higher, we should start working together to try and fix it.
Why we need a constitutional change to a popular vote instead of the archaic electoral system that gets us in messes like this. Most Americans don't approve..he's never been above the low 40 percentile in approval..usually hovers around the 30s..that's still a lot of idiots, but it's not close to being the majority of us.
I think most of us realise this and don't tar you all with the same brush.
