Trump Tells Americans Not To Be Afraid Of Covid-19, Chris Evans And Others Clap Back
Actor Chris Evans, best known for playing the role of Captain America, has harshly criticized US President Donald Trump for telling everyone not to be afraid of Covid-19. Evans’ words resonated with a lot of Americans who agreed with the star on Twitter and shared their thoughts on why the coronavirus is very serious and why we ought to be afraid of it.
President Trump returned to the White House on Monday after a 3-night stay at the hospital. He contracted the coronavirus last week. Trump claims that he’s feeling “really good” and urged Americans not to let Covid-19 “dominate” their lives. Currently, there are nearly 7.5 million confirmed cases of coronavirus in the US. There have been over 210,000 Covid-19-related deaths in the country. Worldwide, there are almost 35.5 million confirmed cases and more than a million people lost their lives because of the virus.
Celebrity expert Mike Sington told Bored Panda that Evans and others calling President Trump out was a good thing. In Mike’s opinion, it’s the most irresponsible thing said by an American President “ever.” Scroll down for the celeb expert’s other insights into the situation.

Bored Panda wanted to get Mike’s take on why Trump might have said what he said about Covid-19. According to the celebrity expert, Trump didn’t want to appear weak which is “his greatest fear.”
Mike explained that a situation where the leader of the US got Covid-19 was a chance for a radically different approach, “His intention was always to downplay Covid. A responsible President would say something like, ‘You don’t want to go through what I did. This virus is very real. If a President can get it, anyone can. You must protect yourself. Wear a mask, practice social distancing, and avoid crowded places.’
Evans was far from the only star to condemn 74-year-old Trump. Among the President’s critics were also actors Mandy Moore, Mia Farrow, Patton Oswalt, and Colin Hanks, as well as ‘Top Chef’ host Padma Lakshmi and others.
The President celebrated leaving the hospital by pumping his fist. He then flew to the White House on a helicopter where he went to the balcony, removed his mask, gave a thumbs-up, and a military salute.
On Twitter, Trump promised to be back on the campaign trail as soon as possible. There is now less than a month until the November 6 Presidential election where Trump will clash with Democratic hopeful Joe Biden.
It’s still unclear just how serious Trump’s illness was: there were conflicting reports. White House physician Sean Conly said that Trump may not be “out of the woods yet” and mentioned that it’s still unsure if he will be able to safely travel for campaign events. Cautious optimism seems to be the name of the game.
Dr. Conly confirmed that the President was given the steroid dexamethasone and has received several doses of antiviral drug remdesivir to help fight Covid-19.

You don't get over COVID-19 that fast despite what medical treatment you get. Either he is about to be knocked on his stupid fat orange a**e when it finally hits, or he never had it and is trying to influence the upcoming election by grasping for the sympathy vote. Let's hope that this act of absolute utter disrespect turns enough of America against him. My son in-law has it . He was actually sick a total of 3 days so yes you can get over it that quick.
I'm glad your son-in-law is well, however, that's anecdotal, and not helpful. He was probably sick for longer than 3 days, but this is when he was discovered to have it. He is not the norm.

Ok first of all you can test positive and never have a symptom. I know personally 10 people who have had it none of them ever even went to the hospital. I understand that its different for everybody. But even my doctor agrees that a lot of the deaths early on were actually because we didn't know how to treat it and are still learning about it and he also told me 90% of those who died would have died if they got any kind of virus ex: the flu. The deaths around the world should be laid at the CCP feet I believe the Chinese Doctors who defected from china that this is a virus fabricated in a lab that was released. And i know people will say that's not true but these are really scientist/doctor and their reports make sense. And what if they are right it doesnt make you a bad person or racist to explore that option we aren't talking about people we are talking about the CCP. I barely got out of it alive as a healthy 16-year-old. I had to go to the hospital and got stuck with an oxygen mask on my face. Many times I heard the warning beep of my oxygen levels getting dangerously low. Wear your effing mask.

My husband, son and I had COVID. I felt like I was dying, and the not being able to breathe symptoms lasted for MONTHS.I went to the ER, husband got pneumonia. It was the worst 4ish months of our lives. Trump is hopped up on steroids, on antivirals and other drugs. Of course he feels like he's 20 years younger, that's what the drugs do. That won't last, and him GASPING for air, even a few days into having COVID, shows how dire his situation is. He is going to be put on a ventilator,watch. He has yet to hit even the beginning of the worst part that will come in a week or two. He's so f*****g reckless with what he's doing. Not just his words, but his actions that are endangering people. You'd think this would have been a sign for him to stop the BS, but no. He has to keep up his narcissistic ways. Sadly this message, in a more subtle way, is being given out throughout the world now. None of our countries intend to implement a second lockdown - no matter what. The primary concern is that of the corporations that donate to them, not human life. don't be afraid - just wear a mask and use disinfectants regularly. There is nothing to be afraid of when you make sure you won't get a virus. I wear a mask even outside and disinfect my hands waaaaaayyy more often than necessary and all of that because my immunity is very strong therefore I am most likely to get an asymptotic case if I catch a virus. In my city, a St. Paul, Minnesota school board member died of Covid. She was in her 30s. That was at least two months ago. Luckily, in the Mpls/St. Paul metro area, most people are wearing masks, at least in my part of the city. Since the mandate, I have only seen one person without a mask. I don't know about rural areas, or other areas of the city. My son's business partner is an athlete. He caught Covid early on, a week before our lockdown, after flying to/from Ohio. He's in his 30s and incredibly healthy, but he said he'd never felt that way before. It took about 2 months for his lung capacity to return. He would get out of breath all the time. He had zero pre-existing conditions. He's extremely aware of how his body is doing always, so this was not just his impression - it hit his lungs hard. He seems to have fully recovered now, thankfully, but even young people are not immune. I get tired of the newspapers only reporting deaths, not reporting hospitalizations.

My mom has just been hospitalized again in 3 weeks w pulmonary epidema for the third time bc of covid. She's not even 60 yet. Her heart is now damaged she was healthy so yes be afraid. She has all kinds of weird horrible symptoms and I'm really scared. The only place she went in the last month was to the grocery store to grab something that wasn't delivered not everyone had their masks on properly now she's deathly sick for the rest of her life

Yes, Covid is a nasty virus that will kill a lot of people, but lots of viruses and other illnesses are just as bad and we don't destroy economies and lives like we are now for them. I feel terrible for anyone who's died and their families... but the response is disproportionate. Shield vulnerable groups and let the young and fit get on with their lives.

210,000 Americans have died so far, at the very least. That's not the flu. The spread is also preventable with mask wearing and social distancing. If too many people get the virus, the hospitals get clogged and people die, including health care workers. I really don't understand how everyone doesn't know this already.

Among them, it will probably 1 out of 25 will die, who would otherwise live into their 70s or 80s. And that is okay with you?! Also, if the hospitals are overwhelmed, a loved one of yours may die of a car crash who would otherwise survive because the hospital has to turn them away. Do you want that to happen? That is the main concern with slowing the spread - not overwhelming the hospitals. Please review the facts. This has been communicated to death.

I realize I'm in the minority, because I look at what people say and somehow can grasp what they're saying while others, seemingly, can't. But it's there in black and white: Don't let it dominate your life. That's what he's saying. I'd say that's good advice no matter what you face, from breast cancer to insolvency. If fortification of hope and strength is what Trump is trying to convey, then he has done a terrible job of it. Let's face it. He does not have the gift of gab. He is not eloquent. Assuming he even had COVID, he had a team of the best doctors, treating him. The average American does not have covered healthcare. If anyone decides not 'to avoid' getting it, and contracts it, who is going to cover the medical costs? You? Der Drumpf? Your hospitals are already taxed beyond capacity. If you could avoid getting any transmittable disease, would you not? Think of it this way: People wear condoms to prevent the spread of AIDS (and to avoid unwanted pregnancies, but that is another topic). Wear a mask, and curtail the spread of COVID. And, the examples you used: breast cancer and insolvency are not valid here. They are not viruses and not transmittable. My son in-law has it . He was actually sick a total of 3 days so yes you can get over it that quick.
I'm glad your son-in-law is well, however, that's anecdotal, and not helpful. He was probably sick for longer than 3 days, but this is when he was discovered to have it. He is not the norm.
