People Are Posting Pics Of Dogs Protesting For Justice, And They’re Too Cute (30 Pics)
It has been almost two weeks since the death of George Floyd, an unarmed black man killed in police custody. Since then, civil rights protests have spread across the United States and around the world. And while people are demanding justice, their dogs are there to support them.
Twitter user Jasmine Rice has compiled a whole thread of pictures of very good bois and girls protesting. You have Dachshunds holding anti-racism signs, Huskies wearing Black Lives Matters shirts; pooches of all breeds are condemning bigotry and violence. Continue scrolling to meet them!

According to CNN, Sunday brought a string of symbolic and significant victories for the protesters, as the peaceful demonstrations prompted authorities to lift curfews and withdraw National Guard troops.
In Minneapolis, a veto-proof supermajority of the city expressed their support for a protest demand that has gained a lot of momentum this week and pledged their commitment to defunding and dismantling the city's police force.

"Yes. We are going to dismantle the Minneapolis Police Department and replace it with a transformative new model of public safety," council member Lisa Bender tweeted.
As recent protests around the US have remained peaceful, authorities have started easing up restrictions: Chicago, Philadelphia, New York City, and Buffalo in upstate New York just lifted curfews.

Also, following the suspension of two NYPD officers for excessive force toward protesters, New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio announced that the city would move funding away from the police force and instead put it toward youth and social services.
President Donald Trump tweeted today that he has ordered the National Guard to start withdrawing from Washington, DC. However, so far it is still not clear if all troops are being withdrawn or just those who came from out of state.

And things are happening not just in the US. Solidarity protests have spread all across the globe. In England, for example, thousands of people gathered in the streets of London and Edinburgh in support for the Black Lives Matter movement. And a crowd in Bristol even toppled the statue of a 17th-century slave trader and threw it into a river.
I have a feeling doggos are doing their part in these places as well!

Gets right to the heart of the matter. Just compare the treatment of the anti-mask protestors who brought guns and got right in the cops’ faces to the treatment of the BLM protestors who did neither of those things.

The one concept some people don’t seem to grasp is that we can’t say all lives matter while some lives (white and privileged) are still treated like they matter more than others (everyone else).

To Tres D, we do have a black culture problem, in that we are spending more money on police then we are on housing and education and other social services. And when you say "they commit 53 percent of ALL murders" .. not sure where that number comes from but it could means black people are convicted of more murders, not that they are more likely to commit the crime. Facts due matter but statistics can be twisted to say what you what them to say.
Why do some signs say: Heck Racists? What does that mean? "F**k Racists" would make sense!
Also, whatI think would be a really great idea, is all these white supremacists, and racists, and all these people that hate one kind or another of ethnic origins, is this... give them an ancestry DNA test, or 23 and me DNA TEST.! See who comes up with some African american in their make up, or Irish, or Arabic, or this or that.. then, print this information for all to see. And let's find out why they hate where they came from!
There are a lot of good bois in this thread. I love animals for their selfless empathy and kindness. We can all stand to learn from them in this day and age.
After not being able to be out in crowds of people because of the virus, I bet those dogs really enjoyed protesting! Seeing their friend hoomans and other dogs.
Let's get really real here. It's black Ives matter, it's anyone with skin that isn't white, that are all beautiful colors of brown, black, tan, yellow. anyone that isn't white of any shade! Mixed race children, all are racially profiled, and defamed, and treated as less than. Why some people feel they are so much better than others, is beyond me. There is no justice, unless there is justice for all of us. We call them citizens, yet, deny them their civil rights and violate them with impunity. When Puerto Rico had such a hard time after the hurricane, and many came over to restart a new life, here in Georgia, some old white men, decided to make it hard for them to get their drivers licenses, and put them through " tests" they couldn't pass unless they cheated! This needs to stop. And stop now. Stop it when you see it. Use your voice, share your thoughts, don't just do nothing. Good people don't stand by and do nothing, so evil can grow. Lets make a truly United country!
