Using an ATM alone is risky these days, especially at night. Security cameras, cubicle-type walls, and even armed guards have been set up at certain locations to discourage muggers and opportunists, but there's one defense mechanism that could prove to be even more effective - and all it will ask for in return is a treat.
That's right. Photos are appearing on the Internet of people carefully positioning their canine crew behind them while using ATMs, and while these pups may look cute and cuddly at first glance, there's no doubt that any hand that comes near their human while banking is most likely not going to come back in good condition. "This is a good strategy. I would be way too distracted trying to pet the dogs to steal her information," one social media user alternatively stated.
If you're thinking of adopting a dog and need yet another good reason to, here you are. If you've already got one, it might be time to start enlisting them as your official cash withdrawal guard dog. Scroll down for all the proof you need.

I wonder when we will be seeing security guard cats showing up on the market?
I think cutting off dogs ears and having them wear those awful collars is cruelty beyond my understanding. Nasty people.
Why do so many of these feel like advertisements? Like they're staged by a dog breeder or something.
I love all these pictures of the dogs protecting their owners! It makes me long for my German Shepard I had 20 yrs ago. Best dang dog I ever had!
Those are the cutest dogs ever! Other than my 1 kg little cutie. Though he will make a horrible guard other than, like that internet user said, distract you because you wanna pet him. HE IS JUST ADORABLE
very cute dogs, but the ears cut and massive muscle seem very... bad for the dog?
This is quite sad that these women have to do this...the fear is very real.
I could sure use one of the ATMs (LOL) when visiting the service terminal or the money automat at the bank, especially when I go there on New Year´s Eve or so I often feel insecure, but our banks in Germany don´t allow to take a dog with you there, except if it´s a service dog (those get access to every shop, every bank, every authority, every public transport vehicle etc.)... 💖💖💖
Urgh... I just saw one of the most unpleasant thing in dog owners world: Pinch collar. And if anyone has the nerve to say it's a training tool to me, than I will say you are selfish and lazy dog owner. There is always a better way to train your dog, who pulls on the leash. I'm so happy that using pinch collars are against the law in my country.
