No, giant dogs have not invaded earth. These photos of enormous pooches create the illusion of great size through the intentional or accidental use of mixed distances without clear reference points.
Hippolyte Bayard, a pioneer of photography who claimed to have invented photography earlier than Daguerre, was one of the first to stage a shot. His “Self Portrait As A Drowned Man” was a reaction to not being recognized as the first photographer.
Pandas, do you have any seemingly giant-dog pictures? Vote on your favorite, or post your own below!

The dog is simply too close to the camera for its shadow to show on the picture, I guess it would have been right under the frame level. No photoshop needed here.
my favorite. Men and beast understand the world and support each other.
Um, we barely understand the world we live in. The science our top minds know is still scratching the surface in the grand scheme of how the universe works! And to claim man and beast 'support each other' is absolutely ludicrous; as an WWF supporter I can tell you one thing for certain: Man does NOT support beast in third world countries, where innocent animals are being killed to make medicine or for poaching. SOME people support beast, and many beast support man, but this is not a given fact; the vast majority do not.
Load More Replies...I think possibly those are plastic action figures rather than people...
Load More Replies...I LOVE cats, but I also LOVE dogs. I think this is an opinion you should keep to yourself. ANIMAL CRUELTY!!!
Load More Replies...Ohhhhhh, I didn't really understand, those are figurines! That's so funny!
That is very creative. Now that I read the comments, I can easily tell they are action figures, but they are so well-positioned, I didn't catch the ruse. Bravo! Wonderful, sweet dog for being such a team player.
This is just a dog with toys. There is no forced perspective or illusion due to a lack of reference points.
some of these seem to be more like perfectly edited, rather than "perfectly timed"
Funny! I like #10 the best, the one where the giant dog causes a landslide!
These. Are. Awesome. I would love it if giant dogs and cats took over the world. Bwahahahahaaaa
