Lab Owner Can’t Believe His Eyes When He Finds His Missing Dog Running In The A Field With Two Unusual ‘Friends’

Lab Owner Can’t Believe His Eyes When He Finds His Missing Dog Running In The A Field With Two Unusual ‘Friends’

Bo is a Black Lab who’s not only the sweetest dog but an adventurer as well. His family has accepted him the way he is, but Bo’s recent trip had them seriously frightened. He sneaked out of the house to do some exploring and forgot to leave his owners a note. So, when the Kansas family found out he was gone, they immediately started looking for their goofy friend.

“We had been searching for him nonstop,” Laura Krier, Bo’s owner, told The Dodo. The day after, Krier heard that a dog similar to Bo was spotted in a field 6 miles away from the family home. Her husband, Kyle, went searching for Bo in his vehicle and finally found their pal – along with two unexpected tagalongs.

The new companions were a dog and a goat, Ozzy and Libby, who belong to the Kriers’ neighbors, Chris and Shawna Huggans.

“It’s difficult to say if Bo the black Lab or Libby and Ozzy were the culprit in starting the adventure. But, nonetheless, they escaped,” Shawna Huggans told The Dodo. “They’re pals for sure.” In the end, everyone returned safely.

“It was one of those stories that you tell your family and friends and they don’t believe you,” Krier said. “It is funny. Bo is crazy, he is full of energy and always up to something. He’s a nice, sweet dog.”

If they neutered him, maybe he'd stop running off. 😁

If you neutered him...he would not only run away less but most likely impregnate less other stray female dogs while on what you think are little dog vacations...thanks

My sisters dog used to climb out of the yard and go roam the neighborhood. My sister never worried because her dog had a collar with the dogs name and my sister's phone number on it and the dog would return every day. Occasionally, a neighbor would pass by the house when my sister was in the front yard with her dog and the neighbors would say "Hi, Heidi!" Her dog would get excited seeing them again. But eventually her roaming backfired. She got so many treats from the neighbors that eventually the dog gained enough weight and she couldn't climb out of the yard anymore. She looked so sad that my sister put her on a diet and coordinated with the neighbors to reduce her treat intake. The day she was able to climb out again, she came back to my sister, tongue hanging out of her mouth and a smile on her face that said "I got to see all my friends again!!!"

Apart from the dog having a big ol' set of balls i liked this story and video. The animals casually just coming up like, "oh time to get in the van is it?, okey dokey". Some moron's still think animals don't have feelings and run purely on instinct. I want a goat, i want my dog's to have a goat buddy, oh great now that's in my head.

Neutering him would stop him from running away, help with overpopulation AND keep the dog healthy. They're much more prone to cancer while intact.

I think you’d find that if you got his pockets picked he’d be more inclined to stay at home. Fewer unwanted puppies wouldn’t be a bad idea either!

I noticed that the dog needs to be nuetured. He would stay around home and not have to desire to roam as much. Might be a thought!!! Great story. Thanks for sharing ☺️

A neighbour of mine had a dog years ago a King Charles called Gizmo. He was a wanderer too. One day he came back with a stray kitten whom he "adopted". Rene his owner kept the kitten and even though at that stage Gizmo was an old dog (10 years I think) he played and really took care of his little friend. He even let the kitten climb all over him and chew his ears. If the kitten ever strayed too far from the hous,. Gizmo would go looking for him and bring her home. Sadly 3 years after this, Gizmo died . But Rene kept and still has the cat. She is a beautiful snow white cat who I will always think of as Gizmo's cat first and Rene's cat second as everyone else around here does.

It's a cute story, but it could have ended badly. From experience, I know how difficult it is to keep a roamer home. Even though I knew my cat would come home in a few days, I still worried she was ok. And yes, she was fixed, so that wasn't the answer. And the saddest part of my story is one day she never came home and was found on the side of the road dead. I still miss her a lot and that was over 30yrs ago.

I'll just say this last thing. It's not unusual for us to love our pets and want them to be close to us but in these times we need to remember that other life forms on the Earth, much as we may love them dearly, exist on their own and can exist on their own and perhaps were even here before we were - at least in some form. So, not to be too wordy, just this: We're all here as human beings and we're all here as many different types of beings. So, let's try and get along as best we can. Goodlife to you all.

It was all planned by the goat. This can be seen in the innocent looking glued googly eyes and the little roguish smile on the third-to-last picture.

The picure of him laying on his back was like; oooh, that's why he 'wanders off'. He needs a visit to the vet, he needs to be neutered. But besides all that, the way that trio hopped in the car, ahhh the cab arrived :D

One evening I heard some noise at our front door. I opened the door and a goat followed by a yellow lab ran into the house. My husband was at the back door and opened the back door. We followed behind them along with our sheltie and laughed because we couldn't believe what we were seeing. (We live in a boating community along the CA Delta. There are farms nearby, but mostly 5+ miles away.) At one point I jotted down the phone number on the lab's collar, but then the goat head-butted my sheltie, I yelled at the goat and he decided they had enough and wanted to leave. So, we sent them out the front door. I did call the phone number from the dog's collar and got an answering machine: "Hi, your dog was at our house and just left in case you're looking for him. Oh, and by the way, he had a goat with him..." Never heard back from them. hahaha
