World’s First ‘Phodographer’ Dog Uses Heart Rate Monitor That Snaps Pics When He Gets Excited
448Kviews
Sure, professional photographers take a lot of photos of adorable dogs, but did anyone ever ask dogs what they want to take pictures of? With this new “Heartography” heart monitor and photo camera system, Nikon aims to let dogs show their owners what excites and interests them by snapping a photo from their point of view every time their heart rate goes up.
The heart rate monitor can be worn on a strap around the dog’s neck. The camera is worn on the dog’s chest with the help of a harness, and the two communicate with Bluetooth. When the happy dog’s heartrate goes up – which can be when he’s excited – the camera snaps a picture! It’s not yet clear if this cool photo system will be available for sale.
The first “phodographer” to take his interesting photos with Nikon’s system was a dog name Grizzler, who stars in their promotional video. Take a look at these incredible dog photos!

Go to 0:56, You can see the reflection of the camera man taking the picture instead of the dog below the left light indicator of the car with the trunk open. Fake advert?
That dog camera definitely did not take those shots. They are way too clean and focused
Yep, fake: https://dl.dropboxus...otdographer.jpg
when i look at :56 , i see a dog sitting and someone behind it and holding the camera and aiming it. the bumper is distorting the reflection and its up to the viewer to tell you what they see. its not proof that the shot was staged.
Border collies freeze as steady as a rock when something catches their attention.
And the long hair is constantly in front of the lens.
awe bummer! you are totally right =(
Omg how did you catch that
I want revenge! they hurt my heart
They could have just recreated it for Grizzler, but I don’t know how i could verify this... still a nice concept.
lmaoooooooo got em!!!
Zoom in... Now enhance!
Well spotted.
You are 100% right - well spotted!

Good observations
i see it...
yeah and the camera is too high when facing the other dog aswell.
Yes you can!!! Good eye!
Indeed. Bleh, boring. :(
In the reflection i see a person who has his/her hands wrapped around the dog. I don't see person pressing the shutter though.
A border collie would be the perfect breed for this experiment because a border collie will freeze when something catches her attention. Click. Steady as a rock.
You mean you don't think the dog took the pic of itself from behind with the chest camera?? =) There are some test shots in there as well. Yeah it's advertising for Nikon Coolpix so if they cleaned up photos or retook shots of the cat it's still a great concept. =D
you are right.some people are non belivers,(i think my belivers is wrong spelling) or maybe they are right.i give up .50/50:-D.
If only it's true. What a great concept.
