5-year-old Maggie is truly a miracle dog given the hardships she has already faced in order to survive.
It was in Lebanon where her story of strength and resilience began. Maggie was found tied to a box with one ear cut off and a broken jaw. Whilst still pregnant, Maggie was beaten and then shot 17 times with a shotgun which resulted in the total loss of her vision.

A person in Lebanon discovered the poor dog and wrote a post asking for help. A woman in London saw the plea and got help from The Wild At Heart Foundation. Maggie was rescued. However, she had to undergo surgeries and other treatments before she was placed for adoption and before finding her forever home in Brighton, England.

25-year-old Kasey Carlin is the owner of Maggie, who is now a celebrity on the Internet, with over 248,000 followers on her Instagram. Her success was so great, Kasey left her job at a dog-care center and devoted her time to managing Maggie’s Instagram account full-time.

“She has taught me and others so many lessons, we all know the lessons she stands for, we were taught them as kids. She reminds me everyday of them, though. Treat others how you want to be treated, don’t judge a book by its cover, love conquers all, be humble, live life to the fullest, help others, you create your own happiness, you can do anything if you believe! Everyday she reminds me to try to be better and do better” – Kasey told Bored Panda.

“I’m amazed everyday that so many people are invested in her story. For so long, no one cared about her, when I agreed to foster her it was because no one else wanted to! I’m glad she can share such a positive message with the world” – finishes Kasey.

While I believe in tolerance, cruelty, particularly cruetly against those who would never be cruel is something that I do not comprehend, for I would consider empathy as the most humane of all human traits. I think we should be far less tolerant with those that decide that hurting living beings is tolerable.

I agree. Still we don't know what kind of person hurt her and under what kind of circumstances that person lives himself. Lebanon is no Disneyland either. It's no excuse to hurt a living creature but there's always two sides to every story.
There is NO excuse fo This! There is NO other side of such a story which would ever in This world serve as an excuse for such an action!
There is a lot of people there with minds wounded by war, and there are psychopaths of every nationality.
Lebanon is a place where people do worse things to other people, its no wonder how animals are treated there.
This is how vegetarians/vegans often feel about people eat meat because instead of harming an animal, you kill and eat it even though there is no problem whatsoever finding non-meat food pretty much everywhere in the world.
Wtf!!! if you don't care for them, don't hurt them. I'm glad Maggie found her forever home.
She looks happy now, thank goodness. There is a special place in hell for those who abuse animals.
