The Gang Who Tried To Kill A Policeman Didn’t Expect This Kind Of Backup
Dogs are called man’s best friend for a reason. They manage to prove their loyalty, dedication, and intelligence in situations where they are needed the most. A canine named Lucas demonstrated this by saving his owner from a brutal attack.
A couple of years ago officer Todd Frazier from Mississippi was attacked by three gang members in an ambush. The men dragged Frazier to the woods and threatened to kill him. Only a miracle could’ve saved him from these armed assailants. Fortunately, that miracle was inside of the policeman’s car. After Frazier managed to press the button to open the door of his car, the four-legged backup was released and Lucas sprinted to the rescue. “He knew. I could hear him coming. I couldn’t see anything because the blood was all in my eyes, but I could hear him coming, growling and making these sounds… he sounded like a wolf. I thought, ‘Now he’s gonna get you'” said Deputy Frazier. After brutal fight attackers had no other choice than to run for their lives.
The policeman sustained some minor injuries from the gang attack. Unfortunately, his savior was hurt too. Lucas suffered a torn ligament, some broken teeth, and road rash, but they both recovered well after receiving treatment. Deputy who owes his life to the dog couldn’t hide his gratitude. “He would put his life on the line for me. He is a deputy. I would die for him too.”
The Hancock County Sheriff’s Department rightfully rewarded Lucas with the ‘Hero of the Year’ award. It’s safe to say that Frazier has the best partner in the whole world!

I almost dropped a tear when I read “He would put his life on the line for me. He is a deputy. I would die for him too” Cause dogs are SO loyal to their humans, and I find it amazing that the officer would also die for his dog. That's love and gratitude.
I can't imagine who wouldn't die for their dog. I would die for my irritating fur brother too, even though i hate to admit it. He's actually a teenager, just like me, and our bond is a little strained currently. Doesn't stop us from meeting every new morning snuggled together.

No wonder people love their dogs so much! I had a German Shep. when I was young and I loved her to death. Best dang dog I ever had too. So smart and sweet with me but if you messed with me in front of her, she would let you know that you better stop now or else! She went after a very rude BF once...chased him 3 blocks nipping at his a*s just cause he took a swing at me (he had been drinking). She could have seriously hurt him but it was as if she knew to hold back and just scare the hell out of him. Never did see him again after that *L*

All pet owners should be willing to die for their pets, if not, they are not worthy an animal friend!

What a good boy! Stories like these always make me tear up. so many people don't realize the purpose of a dog in the police force! They service and protect too. They aren't just drug sniffers.

God, he's a beautiful dog. Dogs always seem to be there for you just when you need them the most.
Humans will stop fighting if you point a gun at them because they know the danger. Dogs, however, don't know this danger and will just throw themselves into the fight (probably hard to fit when moving fast). Also, I bet they didn't expect a dog to come running up behind them. This is one of those times when I think, how did we ever deserve them? Dogs are the best!
