This Guy’s Security Camera Revealed How His Dog Climbed A Ladder To Get To Him On The Roof
Interview With Owner
Dog owner Vince Matteson of Portland, Oregon had quite a surprise recently when he found his dog on the roof next to him. He was quite shocked at first, trying to think of a way the dog got on top of the roof. He thought maybe someone was tricking him or maybe he was just seeing things. Then Vince decided to review the security footage in his backyard to see how it happened.
The footage revealed that his pupper Ace used the ladder to go up to the roof. Very skillfully, might we add.

Vince found his dog Ace on the roof of his house while he was taking down his lights
The owner shared with Bored Panda: “Ace—the dog that was climbing, I’ve had since he was a puppy and he just turned 2 years old last week on the 14th. Super adventurous and not fearful at all. The dog on the ground is Bo, who I adopted from ‘Golden Bond Rescue’ in March! Bo is the cuddly one. I was up on the roof taking down my Christmas lights. I was on the other end of the house, I turn around and see Ace on the roof! I thought maybe a roommate was playing tricks on me and put Ace up there, but I checked my security camera and to my surprise, he climbed up the ladder!”
Vince was very confused on how Ace managed to get up there
We asked Vince told us about his reaction to Ace being on the roof: “I was absolutely shocked! I had my headphones in so I did not hear him, but I saw him out of the corner of my eye. First thought was to pull out my phone to document it, second thought was how the heck am I getting him down. I ended up calling a roommate to hand him down.”
Vince viewed the security camera footage later on and saw how exactly Ace managed to climb up
Vince mentioned he had no idea Ace could climb ladders. He was very surprised to find out his doh has such a talent. Vince mentioned that his dogs love to wrestle, hike, swim, and of course, destroy toys, but he had no idea that they are professional climbers, well, at least Ace is.
Let’s just say Ace has some amazing climbing skills and is the adventurous type
He managed to climb up all the way using a ladder to come help out his owner
Vince’s other dog Bo decided he would stay on the ground, he’s the more cautious type
Here’s how Vince got Ace down from the roof: “My roommate was home, called him up and the only thing I said was ‘Umm…. Grant… Will you come out to the backyard for a second?’ He climbed up the ladder and I handed him, Ace. Ace is about 75lbs, so it was definitely a difficult task.”

I was working on my roof and my pug had crawled out through a window and joined me. My hair stood on end seeing him behind me.
I have a loft bed with a 7-foot ladder. The first night I slept up there my kitty learned to climb up and down herself. I was so darn proud!
How does doggo get down video: Dog 1 "I can climb this, easy peasy" Dog 2: "Heck, you dumb, Joe" I am all giddy about this, and my parents are here (we have quarantined and been masking up at the grocery store, don't start with me. ) and my husband all are unresponsive. I swear I am not related to anyone. Lonely world I live in...at least internet people like dog videos like I do.
My parents used to have a dog who could do this. However, he could never climb down 😂
Oh my goodness 🥰 that dog is so awesome. I wonder what other crazy stuff he's done in just his 2 short years on this earth.
This reminds me of Air Bud where he climbs up n gets on the roof into Josh's room.

I had a couple toy poodles (RIP Balou and Pebbles) who climbed trees every single time I took her hunting. They also liked to ride behind the windshield on a snowmobile. Who says poodles are prissy pets?
