It Turns Out, Dogs React To You Saying ‘I Love You’ To Them According To This Research
You probably already know that having a dog does wonders for our physical and mental health. It reduces stress, lessens blood pressure, and lowers the risk of heart disease. But it turns out that when being loved, our beloved canine friends experience similar magic. (As if we didn’t see that already!)
Canine Cottages spoke to behavioral experts for dogs to find out the true meaning behind licks, begging, barking and more. Then, the company from the UK put them to the test and measured the dogs’ heart rate to find out how exactly they react to given scenarios.
Their findings suggested that upon telling your pup “I love you,” their heart rate would increase by 46.2%. The conclusion? We will be showering our furry companions with loving words times ten.

The same experiment run by Canine Cottages showed that human heart rates also increase by 10.4% upon seeing their furry friends. So our hearts jumping out of joy is, in fact, a mutual thing! And if your four-legged BFF is having a rough day (and who doesn’t!) you may wanna cuddle him, because that lowers their pulse by 22.7%, according to the same report.
Although canines’ heart rate can indeed shed some light on their emotions, one should remember that the way humans and animals communicate love is totally different. Among 10 signs of affection, Canine Cottages named the following: licking and kissing, cuddling, greeting, begging, showing the belly, jumping up, and more.
As you can see, cuddles aren’t enough, so don’t forget to remind your four-legged friends how much you love them

If you catch your furball destroying your stuff, don’t get mad instantly. Interestingly, it can also be seen as a sign of love. Dogs do indeed steal and chew your stuff just to get that much-needed attention, especially when you’re not around.
When your dog feels like they’re missing you, they may want to look for an object that smells like you. Chewing on it can release endorphins and your dog will get more relaxed.

Shannon Keary, a campaign manager at Canine Cottages, said in a statement that “It’s amazing to see that our dogs’ heart rate increases when they are told they are loved, showing excitement, and decreases when having cuddles, showing contentedness.” So don’t be greedy and let those words of love out. Who knows, they may truly have some magic power.

I have three grown autistic children . We got a German a Sheperd just by chance when we were having babies . Our kids and our dogs have always had a special relationship . They can shut down fighting , they comfort when somebody is sad , and they give much needed laughs when their person is sad. Dogs are angels on Earth .
...... and what's even better is that all animals are angels, they do not know hate or greed, they just trying to survive.

I read this article with two purring cats and a poodley mutt on my lap. Oh, and a naughty pig on the floor tearing something up. I tell them all I love them multiple times a day. Oddly enough, I think the pig gets the most out of it. She's in her perfect state of bliss when she's in my lap and I'm scratching this chubby little cheeks and telling her how much I love her and what a good pig she is.

Pigs in sanctuaries and as pets are much more happy and comfortable than pigs on factory farms and heading to slaughter. And it's not just because pigs in sanctuaries have already seen much more love and much less violence than pigs in the bad places. A pig can tell right away when looking at a person if they are going to love and take care of them or if they're going to harm or kill them, because they can read vibes. That pig can be a total newcomer to the place and be looking at people they've never seen before, and have been there a short enough time to have not seen yet what they are doing to other pigs and what they're planning on doing with them. But because of their abilities to read facial expressions, body language, tone of voice, and pick up on vibes, they know right away if those people will either love or harm them

THIS is a PAW-fect example of what scientists and others have been saying words and indeed thoughts are FAR more powerful than we knew! They now even say they are SO powerful that we CREATE our own reality with them! Thus, negative thoughts/negative life, POSITIVE THOUGHTS/POSITIVE LIFE! So, of course dogs can feel that positivity! Melody, what about positive actions (???) which, of course, are preceded by positive thoughts. And what about negative actions? The negative actions of other individual(s) can tear down your positive life you created for yourself with positive thoughts.

Just anecdotal evidence: I think cats react to being told that as well. One of my cats, who I took in from a friend when he was nine, lived to be 18/19 years old, would react when I told him I loved him. I'd notice it the most when he'd be dozing on the bed or stretched out on the floor: he'd flip his tail everytime I said it. Just the sweetest.
Just anecdotal evidence: some cats probably react to it too. I had a cat who would respond to me when I told him I loved him. My favorite was when he'd be dozing on my bed. Every time I told Meeko I loved him, he'd flip his tail. Didn't matter how many times I said it: he'd give that little thump of his tail every time.
I tried this on my cats and they didn't even care... one continued grooming and the other turned and walked away. Cats can be *rseholes!
Cats still appreciate that you take care of them (which can't be said about all people) and they express their gratitude on their own terms. Just like with us - there are people who tell you 'I love you' many times and then turn around and betray you; and there are people who are not good at saying 'I love you' but they would take a bullet for you (die to save your life).
